Exercise Specialist - Full Time

Required Education and Experience: High school graduate or GED. Completion of a health related degree such as exercise science or some level of advanced training certification, (e.g Personal Trainer) is required.

Preferred Education and Experience: 2 years of previous experience as a PT, OT or Rehab Aide is preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Must have strong interest in the field of rehabilitation, including physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy.

Must possess good grasp of medical terminology. Must possess and utilize excellent communication skills.

Summary/Objective: Assist physical, occupational and/or speech pathologist or licensed assistants in patient care activities under their direct supervision.

Essential Functions

Review patient status by referring to chart and direct communication with treating therapist on a daily basis.

Maintain the physical environment of the Center and ensure a state of readiness to provide patient care

Effectively monitor patient activity and communicate with therapist and patients regarding both concerns and progress.

Maintain all department supplies at proper stock levels and in appropriate locations.

Complete clerical activities as requested, accurately and in a timely fashion.
