Exercise Science Faculty Member

Davis & Elkins College, a private college in the liberal arts tradition, invites nominations and applications for a full-time faculty position in Sport Science. While a Ph.D. in Exercise Science (or a related field) is preferred, ABD's will be considered.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience and ability in undergraduate teaching, advising and mentoring. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of introductory and advanced courses in kinesiology, exercise physiology, exercise testing and stress testing, oversee the general education program in wellness education and have the opportunity to develop health-related courses in his or her area of specialty or interest. Other responsibilities include oversight of the Exercise Science program and advising students within the program. The teaching load is 4/4; rank and salary are dependent upon qualifications and the position is renewable upon satisfactory performance.
