Part Time

Day Shift
20 hrs/wk - variable shifts

Basic Functions:

Evaluation, coordination, and exercise educational planning of the Cardiac /Pulmonary/or Vascular Rehab patient. Position focuses on risk reduction and behavior intervention and modification.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology

Certified in Basic Life Support or certified within 3 months of employment

Advanced knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, risk-factors and behavior modification strategies as related to Cardiovascular Rehabilitative Services.

Experience in providing individual and group educational programs for patients and their families that promote positive health behaviors

Basic Computer Skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology

ACLS certification

American College of Sports Medicine certification
2+ years Cardiac Rehab program experience

VIEW JOBS 12/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-13T00:00 Respiratory Therapy PRN Any Basic Functions: Performs duties within the scope of Respiratory Care, to include but not limited to patient assessment, oxygen and routine therapy, arterial blood gases and mechanical ventilation in accordance with department and hospital policy and procedures. Registered Therapists Provides specialized respiratory care to include, intubating adolescent, adult or geriatric patients as a member of Rapid Response Team. Attends high-risk neonatal deliveries as a member of the Neonatal Resuscitation Team and provides neonatal respiratory care in Special Care Nursery. Performs pulmonary function tests, assists with Pulmonary Rehabilitation exercise program, and troubleshoots and maintains arterial blood gas systems. Performs indirect calorimetric measurements. Assist with QA data collection and generating quarterly reports. Therapists may be assigned additional responsibilities upon certification or validation of skills. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of a two (2) years Associate Degree from an accredited program for Respiratory Care and registered through the National Board for Respiratory Care Licensed by the Board of Medical Examiners for the State of South Carolina: biennial renewal required Infant/Child & Adult BLS experience Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as Respiratory Therapist in acute care setting Experienced with intubations and rapid response team responsibilities Lexington Medical Center West Columbia SC
