You are a senior communications strategist with experience advising senior executives at global enterprise technology brands.

Weber Shandwick seeks two senior leaders to advise an enterprise technology client, provide counsel on issues affecting the global technology industry and identify new opportunities to grow the account.

Account co-lead: Seasoned communications leader with technology chops and media smarts to join the senior leadership team for major enterprise communications company, including a mix of multiple agency and in-house personnel, under the CCO. With the support of Weber's extensive network resources this person will help plot and execute the resurgence of one of the technology industry's most trusted brands. Knowledge of the competitive landscape in AI, cloud, blockchain and quantum computing technologies is valuable, but we're looking for someone with unique insight and sophisticated communications thinking to play as part of a blended agency/client team.

Media: A senior media strategist to help a major enterprise technology company plot and build relationships with senior business and technology editors in the US and globally. This is an active media engagement role and we are is looking for senior professional with relationships that can be leveraged to upscale conversations and tell original stories that define social, business and innovation leadership for one of the tech industry's most trusted brands. Working as part of the agency/client senior communications leadership team, including multiple agencies and in-house personnel under the CCO, this person will need to be prepared to think fast and drive immediate outcomes, while also leading helping with longer term editorial planning and news desk assignments.

Both role will sit in New York, but will work hand-in-hand with an integrated team members across the network. The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience leading a global account and demonstrated success in navigating complex corporate environments.

Responsibilities

Client Experience

Proactively counsel senior clients, relative to changing business environment and how we can help them navigate

Partnering with an integrated team to define, present and guide strategy for client programs that are data-driven and span all channels

Be a thought leader and subject matter expert on tech-related emerging platforms and successful integrated strategies

Be a change agent and agitator for whats new and next

Bringing a client-focused attitude that results in work being performed to the highest quality standards

Drive Business Growth

Identify growth opportunities to introduce additional capabilities and services that will help client meet their strategic objectives

Set and shepherd vision for proactive business growth, global expansion and innovation of work

Manage and Develop an Integrated Account Team

Lead of a large, media results-driven account and integrated media team

Proven aptitude to solve problems, handle crises, and make quick decisions with incomplete information

Acting as an inspiring leader who supervises and develops staff members

Shape vision for talent evolution across teams and group

Effectively navigate global firm resources to bring optimal mix to grow/deepen client engagements

Requirements

Senior client leader spanning 15+ years agency experience required.

BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field

Senior level client counsel experience

Experience leading and collaborating with integrated account teams

Proven track record of selling ideas to clients

Deep understanding of tech media platforms and emerging trends

Strong financial performance management experience

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage, review and initiate new checks, including coordinating with businesses to ensure accuracy and completeness of information * Conduct due diligence of business opportunities under review by considering current and historical assignments, relevant firm positions and other information potentially relevant to assess whether the firm may pursue the business opportunities * Identify potential issues and report findings to the CRG * Monitor and update the status of previously cleared opportunities using information from public sources, deal teams, and internal reporting tools * Document the elements of review for each conflict check in CRG's proprietary database which is used to facilitate and record information concerning the initiation and resolution of conflict checks * Work closely with members of the global CRG team as well as other control groups such as Legal, Compliance, Business Intelligence Group, among others, to collect relevant feedback, identify and resolve potential issues arising during the course of the conflict check review process * Manage junior CRG team members in Dallas QUALIFICATIONS * Experience with or knowledge of financial products/transactions preferred * Strong people and team management skill set * Minimum 4 years working experience with graduate degree; otherwise 7 years * Strong communication skills and ability to interact directly with a wide group of professionals at different levels of seniority across the firm * Ability to operate in fast-paced environment with high sense of urgency * Strong organizational skills * Commercial savviness with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information * High attention to detail * Strong sense of discretion with respect to highly confidential information * Ability to work in close coordination with others as part of a global team * Proactive and self-motivated mindset ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provides a wide range of financial services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and individuals.
