Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

Under the direction of the Deputy Director of Legislation, the Executive Secretary I (ES) is responsible for providing executive-level administrative support, secretarial support, and staff assistance on sensitive departmental issues. The variety of functions performed by the ES require initiative, sound judgment and tact, the ability to function with minimal supervision, knowledge of departmental policies, and a thorough understanding of current administrative and clerical practices.

The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resources Branch. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is a recognized leader in public service and has existed for over 100 years.
