You will be based in one of our North America office as part of our recruiting team. You will partner with McKinsey leadership across North America to scope out requirements, interact with senior candidates, consult with them on potential career moves and leverage the expertise and support of an established team dedicated to providing the highest level of client and candidate service.

You will develop talent management strategies to understand talent needs and work with leadership to determine hiring targets, develop profiles and specifications and identify and recommend improvement opportunities that ensure recruiting remains a leadership agenda item.

You will plan, coordinate and drive hiring activities. You'll be responsible for the full life cycle. You will turn profile requirements into effective sourcing strategies using an appropriate combination of direct sourcing and referrals to approach, attract and develop candidate interest. You'll then work hand in hand with candidates and internal clients guiding them and providing consistent reporting to leadership on candidate pipelines and progress against your recruiting goals.

As a subject matter expert, you will develop and share best practices that will help develop the skills and capabilities of the wider recruiting community on a number of dimensions such as direct elect hiring, performance metrics and process improvements.

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years of recruiting experience in an executive search firm or corporate recruiting function focused on identifying, attracting and hiring highly talented individuals who are in great demand into senior roles

  • Deep knowledge of recruiting strategies, processes and marketplace trends

  • Highly developed executive search skills

  • Comfort in managing the full life cycle recruiting; ability to play an active role in all aspects of candidate management process, even on the smallest of details when needed

  • Strong discernment skills; ability to evaluate candidates' intellectual depth and problem-solving ability

  • Strong ability to synthesize findings and drive to a decision

  • Strong client services orientation

  • Proactively takes initiative; comfortable working with minimal direction

  • Comfortable with ambiguity

  • Detail-oriented, organized and a willingness to "get hands dirty"

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; teamwork spirit and ability to build trust-based working relationships with candidates, consultants and recruiting colleagues

You will form a close partnership with the Executive search lead ( ESL) to ensure delivery of senior key talent to the business. The executive researcher will be ambitious, inquisitive, creative and will be accountable for identifying and engaging suitable senior external physicians/R&D senior talent who will play a key role in developing medicines that will impact the lives of thousands of patients. You will also develop comparative industry knowledge and provide critical competitive intelligence to ESLs and other key stakeholders across the business. Specifically, the R & D Executive and Physician Researcher (Executive Recruiter) will be responsible for: Research * Talent intelligence: Utilising your pre-search due diligence you will establish expectations of ESL and senior business leaders and inform the hiring process, utilising competitor market intelligence and insights gained to provide guidance on likely talent and availability in the market place, including any key compensation insights, as well as attractiveness of employee value proposition (EVP); * Research strategy and execution: talent and competitor mapping and pipelining, through a variety of different methods (including internet sourcing, direct approaches and calls and sourcing from networks), with a focus on tracking top senior diverse talent potentially with niche skill-sets; * Insights gathering from network and leveraging these to further increase the focus of the search; * In partnership with the ESL, production of appropriately targeted briefs and research documents and client-ready progress reports, which reflect and leverage GSK's employer branding and EVP; * Data Quality: You will have a passion and focus on ensuring that all information gathered is captured in all relevant recruitment systems in a timely and accurate fashion, ensuring utmost compliance with GDPR and global privacy requirements; * LI-GSK * LI- Hybrid #LI- Remote Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field is required * 2+ years of experience in specialized physician and recruitment research processes/methodologies is essential. * 2+ years experience in a global executive search firm or from within the pharmaceutical/biotech environment is required. * Must have accomplishments in simultaneously supporting multiple physician recruitment campaigns for the Medical Director to the Senior Vice Presidential levels * Must be able to synthesize and articulate scientific information key to the therapy areas within GSK in order to speak about the position scope to prospective candidates at the director to SVP level. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: * Master's degree * Strong public speaking skills * Strong interpersonal skills * Experience in managing a high degree of complexity in a changing environment and broad mix of R&D functions to deliver satisfactory solution in a diversified business model is highly advantageous for this role * Possession of strong sourcing techniques to attract physician candidates across various medical specialties for immediate and anticipated career opportunities. * Competency in designing, driving and 'owning' the sourcing strategies to identify and development ready now and pipeline candidates. * Develop continuous sourcing strategies across all methods of active and passive networking with focus on cold calling, social outreach, professional society engagement, and unique methods for attracting and maintaining candidate pools. * Solid demonstration of participation and documentation of influencing recruitment metrics and analytics * Demonstrated capabilities creating and maintaining organizational maps of competitor life sciences organizations and academic medical centers and utilizing maps to attract from the competitive landscape. * Advanced time and project management skills in a robust technical environment. * Able to deal with pressures and timelines inherent in a fast paced company. * Please note : Due to primary support needed for east coast and European based positions, preference will be given to east coast based candidates.
