Position Summary

Cold Iron is seeking an experienced Executive Producer to join our world class team on our next AAA title for consoles and PC! Can you not help but care if the team is on target, working on the most important tasks to hit their overall goal? Do you arrange schedules to solve for inter-dependencies like a wizard and attack work roadblocks like a berserker? Is it a point of personal pride that you know the current status and road-map of the project like it was tattooed on you? Can you muster the troops and get them all pointed in the right direction?

Your Day to Day

  • You can expect to be responsible and accountable for the following:

  • Be the production lead on a team tasked with creating a hit PC and Console game in the Aliens universe

  • Lead the production team and manage the quality assurance group to achieve the production development needs of the project

  • Partner with key business stakeholders including publishing, operations, marketing, quality assurance and customer service

  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of the pc and console free-to-play market, including design and monetization

  • Lead development planning to ensure on-schedule milestones, worldwide launch and subsequent major feature releases

  • Work directly with team members to ensure timelines are realistic and deliverables are scoped to allow for confident delivery of the highest possible quality within the time allotted

  • Identify and communicate roadblocks and bottlenecks that may prevent the team from achieving their goals

  • Motivate and support the team to ensure that project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved

  • Drive informed decisions in conjunction with team leads on work methods, development pipeline, priorities, and available resources. Provide progress updates to senior leadership and work well under stress

  • Be one with the status of the project. Communicate this effectively to the team, executives and publishing partners

  • Be an excellent communicator across the team, with fellow leads, and to studio and executive management

  • Prioritize our feature road-map through collaborations with Design, Product, and Project Management

  • Own and coordinate the product release cycle. Ensure that releases as for things as simple as internal team playtests to full console certification and release are managed by the production team

  • Be the primary Product Owner on our Agile team, while empowering others to be POs as well

  • Ensure we deliver high-quality software each milestone through frequent reviews and iterations

  • Understand our business goals, and shepherd the game through greenlight gates to launch

  • Lead and motivate the team to unlock their potential and be top performers

  • Love of games

  • 10 to 15 years of industry experience in an internal production role

  • Senior level leadership experience in the development, commercial launch and live operations of 2+ large-scale online games

  • Must have worked on at least two shipped game throughout the entire product cycle

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills with strong attention to detail

  • Extensive knowledge of how games are made

  • Deep understanding of social game mechanics including acquisition, engagement, and monetization strategies to deliver high value products

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow-through to completion

  • Superior product management skills with hands-on experience with multiple different product management methodologies

  • Great interpersonal and facilitation abilities

  • A deep desire to make game development better for all those involved

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook

Would Love to See

  • Experience in bringing a product through console certification and release cycle

  • Experience in multiplayer, console, RPG and/or shooter games a plus

  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Trello, Slack, Project

  • Experience with outsourcing management

The Executive Producer leads the morning team, builds the daily rundown with camera shots and graphics. The position will be responsible for creating and maintaining a production master calendar for the show and for connecting and coordinating with our sales team and clients appearing in the show. We are looking for a content creator with exciting and engaging ideas that is able to produce, shoot and edit with high standards on short deadlines. The candidate should be an extremely organized and self-motivated individual, independent with a strong decision making judgment and no need for supervision. Job Responsibilities Key Accountability & Authority * Produce one-hour daily show. Craft the daily rundown with camera shots and graphics. * Responsible for making editorial decisions on content, structure, and look of the show. * Shoot and edit content for the show as needed. The position will be required to go on the field to shoot content and then edit the material for airing on the Morning show. * Work closely with the sales team to coordinate clients appearances in the show. * Create and maintain a production master calendar along with sales. Expected Outcomes * Ensure that all Univision standards of fairness and accuracy are met. * Manage a dynamic morning news team with strong emphasis on creativity, aggressive breaking news, and weather coverage. Required Skills & Experience * BA degree in communications or journalism. * Minimum of two (2) years' experience in television broadcast in a production capacity. * Must have previous experience working with talent, news writing, preparing show rundowns. * Candidate must be completely fluent in English and Spanish, with an emphasis on superior written/spoken Spanish language skills. * Basic video production skills required to create on-air content. * Must be able to shoot and edit content for the show. * Applicant must be able to use newsroom computers systems and applications used for producing the morning show. * Knowledge of AVID, Premiere, and INEWS. * Must be able to motivate and supervise the morning team, including production and talent, and make production and editorial decisions independently with minimal supervision. * Must have the ability to maintain composure during high levels of pressure during a live newscast. * Must be able to work very early mornings, holidays, and weekends. * Must have a valid California driver's license with a good driving record. Desired Skills & Experience * Previous experience in supervisory role in television. Physical Requirements * Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, edit, reach, and sit for up to eight (8) hours.
