Directs institutional housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of establishment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Supervise and motivate all housekeeping personnel with daily supervision to include staffing, training, discipline, scheduling and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction.
Recruits, hires, and provides career development for the housekeeping staff; conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback for team members.
Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.
Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment.
Responsible for department budget and staffing guide.
Submits to management recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space.
Periodically inventories supplies and equipment.
Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
Completes department payroll and tracks overtime.
Attend managers meetings.
Responds quickly to guest complaints in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
Assists in the ordering of all products and chemicals needed.
Inspect a minimum of 3 villas a day.
Communicates with all department Managers and Supervisors.
Conducts or oversees training classes regarding safety, security, department procedures and service guidelines.
Supervises Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisors.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation, such as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience, and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments: or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches or procedures. BA/BS in a management field of studies preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
