The Executive Director is a three-quarter time role responsible for leading and managing the organization. This position works with a dedicated team of teaching staff and a passionate Board of Directors, focusing on arts education in rural Benton, Linn, and Lincoln Counties.

Key duties include overseeing staff development, expanding arts programs, fundraising, and managing administrative tasks. The Executive Director is accountable to the Board, represents the organization publicly, and is expected to have strong networking, public speaking, and presentation skills to grow the organization's impact in the community. Requirements: Education: BA/BS in business, finance, arts, management, or related fields Experience: 3 years in a leadership role within the non-profit sector, with experience in management

Top of FormBottom of Form Key Responsibilities: Representation and Networking:

Act as the organization’s ambassador, building relationships with external stakeholders, including community organizations, city and county officials, and donors. Financial Management: Collaborate with the Board Treasurer to manage day-to-day fiscal responsibilities and ensure budget compliance.

Staff and Volunteer Coordination: Manage staff and volunteers, conducting meetings and strategic planning activities. Oversee the hiring, orientation, and management of volunteers and staff.

Program Management: Work with staff coordinators to implement programs and meet monthly objectives. Fundraising: Support and organize fundraising events alongside the Board and fundraising committee.

Work with the Development Coordinator to identify grant opportunities and manage donor relations. Community Partnerships: Build sponsorships and collaborative creative projects with local businesses.

Communication and Strategic Planning: Develop and implement communication strategies for internal and external stakeholders. Work on the organization's strategic planning and communicate its mission and vision.

Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of Maxtivity, including financials, in partnership with the accountant and treasurer. Staff and Financial Overview:

Staff Size: 9 Contracted Teachers: 1-5 (varies based on camps/classes) Volunteers: 40 registered Desired Qualifications & Characteristics: Proficient in writing, editing, and managing funding campaigns Strong organizational and project management abilities Excellent presentation and partnership skills Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while balancing long-term goals Experience in donor development and fundraising Knowledge of state-of-the-art technology and its administrative/educational applications Collaborative, flexible, and cooperative approach to problem-solving Positive attitude and enthusiasm Strong listening and communication skills Respects diversity and fosters an inclusive organizational culture Displays integrity, creativity, and decisiveness This role offers the opportunity to lead and grow a dynamic organization in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, helping to expand its mission and community impact.
