Job Description:

The Executive Director of Women's Health Services is a registered professional nurse who provides leadership and management of this specific service line through the application of advanced competencies in communication, job knowledge, professionalism and business skills. This executive is a member of the operations team and serves as the designee for assigned responsibilities. The Executive Director effectively partners with organizational leadership, physicians, and other departments to create a center of excellence for this specialty service and to meet the organization's mission, vision and goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensures business objectives are met through proper direction of all fiscal, material, technological, and human resources, and will collaborate with other members of the operations leadership team to meet established goals of the organization.

  • Coaches and mentors leaders for assigned locations in techniques and methods that drive business growth, enhance team member and physician relationships, and provide excellent clinical outcomes.

  • Responsible for business development and establishing/maintaining positive working relationships with community leaders and hospital leadership.

  • Assures successful implementation of existing and newly established clinic programs.

  • Standardize services, processes, resources, and practices where appropriate to improve efficiency maximizing continuity of patient care while maintaining professional standards within disciplines and across assigned locations.

  • Create an organizational culture that provides a safe, satisfying and enriching environment for team members and provides a qualified, competent team to meet patient needs.

  • Models behavior consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the organization through leading, coordinating projects, innovation, initiating improvement, and developing new programs.

  • Create an environment that encourages and supports self-development and learning for all team members through regular feedback, by assuring the development of staff through orientation, training programs, work experiences and assessing competencies by meeting the performance expectations stated in job descriptions in a timely manner.

  • Ensures that all business functions are operative and that all processes are effectively and efficiently in place. Identifies and implements process improvement changes. Creates goals for clinic operations and ensures that these goals are in line with organizational goals.

  • Maintains readiness for internal and external survey/inspections by assuring that all team members are knowledgeable of regulatory standards applicable to their work and ensuring that standards are met within to assure accreditation/licensure.

  • Maintains an active and/or leadership role in company projects and initiatives and ensures implementation and integration in clinics.

  • Works collaboratively with vendors, contractors, building maintenance and others that interact with all regional clinics.

  • Works with managers of all clinics in reviewing and analyzing patient satisfaction and developing action plans for improvement.

  • Regularly rounds in clinics to assure high visibility and develop trusting relationships with staff and to ensure validation that changes, and initiatives are fully engrained.

  • Works collaboratively with department directors/leaders to achieve operational/projects initiatives, goals, and outcomes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of practice operations; including, physician practice operations and the components and requirements requisite for successful patient care, quality, and efficiencies, including the demonstrated ability to design and integrate workflows acceptable to providers and staff

  • Proven team member management strength including demonstrated ability to select, motivate, develop and retain people and promote collaborative team efforts

  • Expertise in data gathering, management, reporting and interpretation

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication and public speaking skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing. Prefer Master's degree.

  • 3+ years of Director-level experience in acute care

  • Proven ability to bring teams together & promote an overall positive work environment
