Job Summary:

Collaborates with other stakeholders to develop, monitor and execute on the Enterprise Strategy. Develops new organizational strategies and capabilities to improve operational efficiencies, transform care and determine growth opportunities. Leads complex cross enterprise work and manages internal consulting efforts for special strategic projects. Develops and implements large scale hospital/system integration plans. Has overall responsibility to drive end to end execution of Network Integration partnerships, including collaboration with external advisors as appropriate. Works closely with Business Development to grow and take our various core services and products to market and consider other business opportunities.

Job Description Responsibilities:

  • Participates in formulation of the Enterprise Strategy and Strategic Roadmap.

  • Aligns growth, market, and strategic intelligence strategies to both.

  • Facilitates the development of Enterprise growth strategy and goals and helps to develop/organize/prioritize key initiatives to help achieve those goals, including local market growth plans, individual Institute strategies, national contracting/network strategies, new market entry and development, new business entry/development.

  • Leads complex, cross-Enterprise initiatives including structuring/managing project, overseeing analytics process, helping to forge consensus among key stakeholders, ensuring adequate business case to support.

  • Leads process of identifying potential partners, including assessment of organizational fit and congruence with Strategic roadmap, building a strategy for partnership alignment

  • Leads/supports work on a wide variety of domestic and international strategic partnerships, through opportunity assessment, evaluation, transaction, integration, and monitoring, including oversight of the Strategic Transactions Council.

  • Oversees the development and implementation of large-scale network integration plans to successfully execute partnerships.

  • Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance partnering and integration portfolio.

  • With the Chief Strategy Officer, oversees the Strategy Office, leading day-to-day operations and annual budget.

  • Develops and maintains data, analytic tools and project management methodologies, collaborating with and leveraging resources of other related departments

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration or other pertinent fields is required.

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work autonomously.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of increasing responsibility in health care required.

  • Proven track of leading efficient, effective and complex strategy processes with strong results.

  • Broad and deep understanding of healthcare and physician-led organizations, including major trends/forces affecting the industry.

  • Extensive range of advance analytical capabilities.

  • Highly skilled at identifying information resources, research methods, data analysis and insight.

  • Exceptional skills in synthesis and communication (verbal and written).

  • Possesses outstanding project management and problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong, trusting relationships, both internally and externally in a complex environment.

  • Ability to forge collaborative and productive relationships where there is overlap in roles, e.g., Market and Network Services, Clinical Transformation, Enterprise Strategic Planning.

  • Must be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with other Senior Executives within situations of ambiguity and change.

  • Performs best in a striving, fast-paced, results-oriented organization.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

It's hard to pinpoint a "typical" day here (and who wants typical anyway?), but in summary you can generally expect: * Responsibility for revenue and profit growth within current client portfolio through strategic, consultative, and advisory relationship with clients within a designated operating region or assigned accounts. * Serving as an integral point of relationship and guidance for our clients. Client should come to rely on Director of Client strategy for strategic conversations and discussion around program enhancement, product and site expansion, and increasing member engagement. This includes strategic opportunities to enhance value proposition and proactively identify client needs related to program results, business trends, or relevant healthcare trends. * Working closely within Growth and Operations departments to: * Grow revenue and profit within existing client base * Enhance client relationships and secure contract renewals * Provide strategic guidance to ensure that Premise Health is viewed as a trusted, premier, innovative partner * Will be responsible for achieving defined client strategy growth objectives. What You'll Do for Us Specifically: * Manage the entire existing client business development function from strategy, to execution of the process, to closing. * Coordinate and productively facilitates communication across remote sites and effectively navigates through multilayer client relationships (procurement, human resources, vendors, consultants, etc). * Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of multiple lines of service and clients. * In partnership with Operations, identifies processes to improve overall performance of health centers and defines innovative measurements of performance standards to integrate corporate strategies. * Demonstrate strong business acumen and knowledge of staffing, capacity, ROI, budget, margins, service and product offerings, to implement and drive strategic and relevant operational outcomes. * Strategically identify and solve complex problems effectively with an emphasis on developing proactive approaches utilizing internal (corporate and regional) support. * Identify and request participation from corporate departments in strategic meetings as client needs dictate. * Collaborate with operational teams around client/site meetings, committees, and task forces to support strategic initiatives and goals. * Client Strategy lead on implementations as needed. * Establish regular communication across operations team to ensure effective cascade of information. * Participate in new business development process as needed. * May be asked to complete ad hoc projects * Develop and manage regional relationships with benefits consultants, business coalitions and other related client "influencers" * Oversee the indirect management of up to 50 clients with multiple lines of service.
