Mercy Imaging Centers, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, provides cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services at 16 locations in the greater Sacramento and Woodland areas. Our team of 160 staff members work with our specialty trained and board certified radiologists to provide high quality care to our patients. The locations perform more than 175,000 exams annually with the goal of providing top quality imaging, compassionate care, and timely service with a smile.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Executive Director is responsible for providing senior leadership to the Dignity Health Medical Foundation service line assigned. The Executive Director is responsible for developing the overall strategic plan of the service line including patient care, employee engagement, organizational development, change management, human capital management, physician engagement, financial management and program delivery. The Executive Director is expected to lead in a manner that reflects the Dignity Health Medical Foundation mission, vision and values and incorporate such into daily interaction with peers, employees, physicians and patients.

Responsibilities may include:- Develops and leads the strategy of the assigned service line within the broad context of the system wide landscape by using performance measurements to guide strategic and operational decision-making.- Takes a leadership role in driving a collaborative process amongst the organization's stakeholders that would result in the development of strategic and effective goals, objectives and operational plans.- Oversees the development, implementation and utilization of a comprehensive scorecard used to create action plans around operational gaps.- Responsible for the growth of the service line in a highly competitive environment.- Develops and maintains a close partnership with Marketing to ensure effective market presence and capitalization on community visibility.- Oversees preparation of the service line's annual operating and capital budget ensuring multi-year capital equipment replacement plans.- Ensures cost effective uses of resources by monitoring budget performance of each accounting unit. Accountable for the financial performance and resource management of the affiliate organization and implementing bridge plans that positively impact negative variances to the budget.- Ensures positive financial performance and optimal management of costs as well as cost effective utilization of department resources and equipment. Implements innovative cost and quality initiatives to improve growth, performance and stability.- Coordinates, integrates and standardizes assigned service line's operational programs, processes, equipment and resources wherever possible throughout the region.- Serves as an active participant in senior management integration activities and assures that the service line participates in Dignity Health Medical Foundation organization wide initiatives to increase operational efficiency.- Oversees and improves the quality of services provided by soliciting patients and partnering with employees and physicians to improve the service and outcomes.- Oversees the operations and physician partnership creating a shared vision and fostering a relationship characterized by open communication, trust and the values of Dignity Health Medical Foundation.- Participate in identifying a physician recruitment plan that benefits the needs of the community and support the Dignity Health Medical Foundation strategic growth plan.- Develops and motivates assigned direct reports to carry out the individual departmental objectives in an efficient and innovative manner.- Builds and develops a bench of talent by ensuring effective utilization of Human Resources and oversees integrated strategies to ensure quality results in the recruitment, selection, retention and development of the workforce.- Oversees the contractual agreements as they relate to the service line including negotiation, strategy, execution, adherence and maintenance.- Assumes leadership in promoting customer/patient service excellence and assures continuous improvement in service delivery.- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years experience working in a leadership capacity. Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare industry.- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.- Strong and effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Radiology/Imaging leadership experience.

  • Experience in an Integrated Healthcare Delivery System. Breadth of experiences encompassing knowledge of medical group operations to demonstrate understanding of an Integrated Delivery System.

  • Experience managing multiple, large-scale, complex projects.

  • Experience managing 150+ physicians in multiple medical group practices.- Master's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration strongly preferred.
