Job Summary:

A new Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is being created to provide clinical oversight of all Company programs, policies and processes. Internally to the Total Rewards team, the Office of the CMO will provide SME support by evaluating Health Improvement opportunities as well as by providing medical standards and clinical program efficacy review. Externally, the Office of the CMO will provide consultative support to the field regarding health and safety opportunities that impact business processes and operations. To support this function, the Exec. Director will manage those internal and external connections and opportunities.

In collaboration with Health Services, Health and Safety and the Leave Management/Return to Work Team, the Executive Director will act as an internal consultant for the coordination of business process-driven program opportunities in the field for a range of health, wellness, and safety topics that are approved by the business. He/she will help these teams develop the strategy for implementation of these programs.

This role will engage directly with senior leaders across the organization to provide thought leadership and gain insights on the development of effective health and safety strategies for Comcast NBCUniversal. Critical to this role will be partnering effectively with other internal and external departments and help develop the strategy for programs, policies and processes that positively impact the health and safety of our employees as well as the business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage the standards and processes for the Office of the CMO.

  • Assist the CMO in development of standards, processes and policy designed to support a culture of health and safety and holistic worker wellbeing.

  • Develop and manage standards and processes for OCMO medical/clinical review as it pertains to escalations, appeals and plan design

  • Develop and manage the standards and processes for medical vendor/partner assessment.

Provide structured consultative support internally to Total Rewards and externally to the Business.

  • Coordinate Medical Review meetings and review of appeals and escalations with the rest of Total Rewards points of contact.

  • Manage the medical topics for cross-functional Total Rewards Medical Board review. Take input and requests from all of Total Rewards and coordinate the assessment and review. Coordinate the output and meetings with Total Rewards contacts for OCMO review and collaboration with Total Rewards.

  • Coordinate the evaluation of the Comcast NBCUniversal population for health improvement opportunities in collaboration with internal medical consultants, the Innovation and Product team and US Benefits.

  • Support Total Rewards with strategy for enterprise-wide health and wellness benefit offerings

  • Review Total Rewards programs for business process opportunities.

  • Serve as a consultant to the field to gain insights on pain points and business process opportunities.

  • Consult to the field regarding Health Services, Health & Safety and Return to Work issues that may/do impact business operations and assess the field for willingness for process changes.

  • Help develop strategy for policies, programs and practices to be implemented by Health and Safety, Return to Work and Health Services in an integrated approach with the field. Help analyze the business practices and processes that would allow for that integration.

  • Create the building health and safety standards for sites. Support Total Health to develop turnkey process for this checklist review for any new builds, renovations or clinic implementations.

This role is a key technical and leadership position, affecting product quality for both installed base and NPI and requires excellent communications and collaboration skills. Essential Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the Supplier Quality oversight of CMO's producing commercial product on behalf of GEHC. The scope of this role mainly includes external Single-Use CMO's and sub-tier suppliers to these. This role is responsible for ensuring consistency of approach to management of CMO's, and for ensuring CMO's meet the quality expectations of GEHC. This role will partner closely with Sourcing, Product Management, Engineering, and QA to manage CMO's and for ensuring CMO's meet the expectations of GEHC. Strong collaboration and the ability to effectively work in a matrixed environment is critical to success for the role. Key responsibilities include: * Lead and develop the SQE's in the team to foster high quality standards, work ethic and a positive work environment. * Oversight of the CMO program (including setting of objectives, Op Mechs, monitoring of key metrics, improvement initiatives etc.). * Monitoring and analysis of CMO program processes and continuous improvement plans of the same. * Sets goals for the function that helps drive strategy execution to enhance and maintain CMO oversight in compliance with GEHC standards. * Finding solutions to effectively navigate and correct misalignment between different stakeholders both within and outside the operating unit. * Proactive monitoring of the performance of CMOs & sub-tier suppliers to ensure that they remain in a state of control. * Leading the effort to drive improvement and for the development & assessment of quality metrics, KPIs and reports associated with CMO. * Lead team to improve supplier quality performance for assigned suppliers via Quality Plan implementation. * Lead team to approve supplier selection through robust qualification processes and part qualification. * Management of critical issues and timely resolution, developing solutions to complex problems. * Customer facing actions – coordinating support for customer audits/visits, reporting out on critical & GSAM customer investigations * Supporting initiatives to reduce case management timelines. * Develop positive relationships and work closely with key stakeholders such as Sourcing, QA, GSAMs, GSAM QA Managers to manage issues drive Quality improvements that minimize the Costs of Quality, Field Failures, and Factory defects. * Lead team to ensure Corrective and Preventive Action plans are developed and executed at assigned suppliers in compliance with the CAPA process.
