Norcross, GAPOSITION SUMMARY:The Executive Director of Community Outreach and Public Relations will manage media relations, internal and external public relations and brand management. The Executive Director will work collaboratively with the team to prepare and disseminate information and content regarding PruittHealth through various channels to help maintain a favorable public image for the organization and its partners. Our new Executive Director will lead an innovative team to help design and implement strategies to reach our goals by engaging our most important audiences.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop strategic communications and core messaging in the areas of branding, public relations, crisis management, corporate responsibility, executive relations, marketing and advertising.Maintains positive working relationship with local reporters, editors and feature writers who cover business, health care and other relevant topics to promote PruittHealth programs, services and personnel.Serve as a trusted advisor - communications best practices.
Support C level executives and stakeholders in communication planning and execution.Oversee the writing of press releases, copy for marketing materials, reports, advertisements, and other related material.Collaborate with leadership during crisis management events and lead communication workflow.Responsible for on camera interviews and interfacing with media entities.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper messaging of company beliefs and service offerings.Prepares talking points, presentations, speeches, and other supporting materials for PruittHealth leadership. Creates collateral materials tailored to specific briefings and presentations. Identify areas to improve social media presence and create metrics that improve traffic to these sites.LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or closely related field from an accredited college or university.Master's Degree in related field preferred.5 years of high level achievement in a marketing, public relations, nbranding and/or communication leadership role.Superior written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.
Proven success in developing and executing communications strategy for a large business, preferably in health care or professional services. Experience and expertise in crisis communications, issues management, public and media relations.Superior ability to communicate and counsel professionally, both written and verbally with individuals at all levels of the organization, external contacts, customers and media.Thorough understanding of branding principles and tactics through traditional and new media resources.Must have proven ability to lead teams, influence others and to effectively manage people, issues, and relationships in a complex situations.Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead, facilitate, influence, and organize.Demonstrates uncompromising level of integrity and code of ethics.
