Job Purpose Statement: Under the supervision of the Superintendent of Schools, the Executive Director of Business Services and Classified Personnel provides inspired and effective leadership as a District Administrator and Cabinet Member responsible for the overall operation of the organization. The Executive Director of Business Services and Classified Personnel shall be responsible for planning, coordinating, controlling, and administering the business services and financial operations of the District in accordance with policies established by the Board of Education and State of California; assure compliance with policies, practices and procedures; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel. This position is also responsible for administering the legal duties of Classified Human Resources. The Executive Director of Business Services and Classified Personnel is responsible for providing leadership and supervision for the overall business services of the school district including budget development and control, maintenance and operations, transportation, child nutrition services, risk management, payroll, purchasing, plant and site development, construction and acquisitions, energy conservation, administration of contracts, insurance, and safety program. The Executive Director of Business Services and Classified Personnel is a Management Position and is a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet and is required to attend all Governing Board meetings.
