Cappella Living Solutions (CLS) manages a number of independent nonprofit organizations, including Green House Homes at Mirasol, a senior living community in Loveland, Colorado.

Job Description

If you are a Nursing Home Administrator, who has been passionate about serving older adults, and disrupting the status quo and perceptions of aging, you will find this is an amazing opportunity! Imagine this, you could be the administrator of a small community of homes where residents have private bedrooms and bathrooms, along with common spaces that offer our elders and care partners to work together as a loving, collaborative household!

This role will require an individual who has been highly successful in creating an empowered environment for care partners and the residents of the home, someone who has excelled in relationship development and is comfortable with the change which is needed to reimagine what skilled nursing can look like!

If you are familiar with Eden principles and philosophy, or the Greenhouse Household Models, that can be very helpful!

Pay range for this position is $109,300 to $150,000 / year plus applicable bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

Here is some additional information about the Qualifications, and Experience we are looking for.

  • Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital or nursing facility.

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Bachelor's Degree. A degree in Public Health Administration, or a health-related degree is preferred, but not required.

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator's license or meet the licensure requirement of this state.

  • Strong evidence of Eden Alternative Principles and or Greenhouse project/Household models

  • Strong evidence of coaching, team building and servant leadership skills as well as the ability to empower others.

  • Strong evidence of the ability to lead a community in all disciplines (i.e. marketing, admissions, finance, personnel, clinical).

  • Evidence of experience growing a leadership team.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

  • Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

  • Must be knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing facility administrative procedures.

  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation.

  • Must be able to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc., to personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies/personnel.

  • Must be knowledgeable of computer systems, system applications, and other office equipment.

  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Colorado driver's license.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Works in all areas of the community.

  • Moves intermittently during working hours.

  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.

  • Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.

  • Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, etc.

  • Communicates with the maintenance personnel, nursing staff, and other department supervisors.

  • Works beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.

  • Is subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).

  • Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday, as well as reactions from dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, and other air contaminants.

  • Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB, AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.

  • May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.

  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility.

  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a mental and physical examination.

  • Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use effective support tools that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and /or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.

  • May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
