PAY RANGE: $55,000 - $75,000 DOE

World's Children is accepting applications for Executive Director. The Executive Director works in our headquarters in Sisters, Oregon. This is not a remote position.
Nonprofit Mission: World's Children has served orphans and vulnerable children around the globe since 1965. We envision a world in which every child has a safe, nurturing place to call home, and a chance to achieve their potential through education.
We currently support vulnerable children in India, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Mexico, Kenya, Zambia, Rwanda, Tanzania and Ukraine through our sponsorship program. We also provide educational opportunities including college scholarships and vocational training to disadvantaged students where our programs are located.
Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Executive Director to help us fulfill our mission to serve vulnerable children around the globe. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors, and oversees our strategic and operational plans, our programs and staff.
This skilled leader will not only understand international development challenges, but will also have experience in creating and implementing a successful fundraising plan.
Experience in hiring and managing staff is essential. The ability to establish and nurture relationships is imperative. Above all, the Executive Director should be highly effective in a leadership role that requires clear communication skills and decisiveness. World's Children Executive Director
Objectives and Responsibilities:
Work closely with board directors and committees to assess and address issues affecting the organization
Oversee daily operations of the organization, providing executive direction for program strategies and efficiencies, compliance, and quality assurance
Identify and address staffing requirements for efficient operations, and maintain a strong work culture that attracts and retains people while driving the organization's mission
Increase awareness of the organization by being the main spokesperson and key liaison with media
Develop an actionable plan for fundraising and managing monthly cash flow
Create a strategic plan for achieving goals and objectives and oversee the plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors
Meet annual fundraising goals, in partnership with the Board of Directors, by securing financial support from individual donors, foundations, and corporations
Coordinate annual budget reviews and monthly and quarterly reviews for meeting objectives
Build and lead an effective team that's dedicated to fulfilling the organization's mission
Work with staff and board on annual fundraising through our sponsorship programs, our annual campaign, online strategy and special events
Oversee all external communications, including website, marketing initiatives, newsletters, and social media
Serve as the face of the organization and participate in external events to increase visibility, credibility, and market brand
Develop strategic partnerships to further increase awareness and expand programs
Manage partners whose experiences, cultures, and languages reflect the international communities served by the organization
Comply with all national and local regulations
Preferred Skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, human resources, finance or non-profit management
Five or more years of experience in senior management, preferably with nonprofit organizations
Strong experience in public relations, marketing, and fundraising
Knowledge of leadership and management principles for nonprofit organizations
Proven success working with a Board of Directors
Entrepreneurial mindset, with innovative approach to business planning
Dynamic and charismatic team player who enjoys being the public face of an organization
Experience in managing budgets
Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
A passion for helping orphans and vulnerable children in developing countries
Compensation, Benefits and Time Commitment:
Salary range: $55,000 - $75,000 (DOE)

Time commitment: Full-time equivalent of 40 hours per week, some evening and weekend hours will occur for meetings and events.
