Job Summary

The Executive Director, Juvenile Justice Programs leads Alameda County Office of Education's robust and comprehensive programming for justice-involved youth and young adults in the areas of building infrastructure, leading innovation and change, managing internal and external partnerships, and building capacity of individuals and teams. Based out of the Juvenile Justice Center, the Executive Director develops, implements, and leads life-changing schools, post-high school educational programs, and integrated supplemental programming for youth in detention, as well as diversion and transition programs to ensure young people do not become further system involved.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education & Experience: Valid CA teaching credential and clear administrative services credential (required) Bachelor's Degree (required) At least 5 years experience providing impactful leadership in high needs public schools (preferred) At least 5 years of supervisory experience, including managing multiple teams and/or programs, budgets, and deliverables (preferred) Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record (required) Read Job Description for a complete list of job requirements and experience required
