Lead the HR Center of Expertise shared services teams in the design and delivery of progressive Compensation, Benefits, Payroll and HR Services that support the Olympus business strategy and that are motivational, equitable and in compliance with company policy and government regulations. Drive a collaborative and continuous improvement culture that leverages the synergies of the administrative HR functions and services teams to deliver high quality customer service, employee data integrity, and efficient processes. Demonstrate resource stewardship and fiscal responsibility through budget, project and resource management and prioritization.

Job Duties:

In a typical day, you will:

  • Manage the strategy and overall direction of the Americas region HR Operations function including Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, HR Service Center and Mobility.

  • Manage the HR data resources, electronic and physical documents, to maintain data integrity and compliance with employee privacy rules, employment laws and data security.

  • Make decisions on the future state that support the priorities of the business, gain support by the business and implement changes.

  • Maintain cost efficiency and an environment of process improvement.

  • Create the roadmap to communicate the total rewards strategy for Olympus to support business objectives and future growth.

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and policies involving base pay, incentives,

commissions, grading, and titling that align with the business and are in accord with company policies, government regulations and reflective of the external market.

  • Recommends annual salary budget and guidance on administration.

  • Working with Senior Leadership and the VP of Human Resources, to design executive compensation strategy and programs, including long- and short-term incentives, perquisites, and deferred compensation programs to attract and retain the organization's top talent.

  • Maintain HR related polices, propose revision and enhancements as needed to remain competitive as an employer of choice and remain compliant with federal, state and local laws.

  • Direct participation in Human Resources operation based surveys to regularly assess competitiveness of programs, monitor trends, and recommend steps to VP of Human Resources and senior management to maintain desired competitive posture.

  • Direct training and communications with managers to improve their understanding of HR Operations programs, the company philosophy, and the use of tools to motivate and reward performance.

  • Direct the selection of vendors to support HR Operation that are cost effective and provide best in class support to business needs.

  • Partner with internal and external sources to negotiates cost and coverage with vendors.

  • Directs all filing activities to verify that Olympus is in full compliance with ERISA, employment laws and other required regulations.

  • Collaborate with Communications team and vendors to design communications to inform employees of programs and increase employee awareness of programs offered by Olympus, including benefits, Compensation, HR Service Center support and other value driven support offered by HR Operation

  • Directs the activities of HR Service Center responsible for:

a. Managing all employee data including the on-boarding process for new staff. (This includes background verification, drug testing and new hire orientation)

b. Managing the Company's payroll and payroll-related processes to ensure timely preparation and accurate disbursement. This includes ensuring Olympus is in compliance with all governmental regulations.

c. Auditing of employee information for accuracy, completeness and consistency.

d. Researching, recommending and implementing ways to improve HR services processing ensuring the use of efficient & effective solutions.

e. Management of Global Mobility function including immigration and domestic/international relocation services.

  • Directs the strategy of Payroll processes to ensure timely preparation and accurate disbursement. This includes ensuring Olympus is in compliance with all governmental regulations.

  • Directs the Mobility function including immigration and domestic/international relocation services

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or similar related field or equivalent experience required.

  • MBA or Master's Degree related field preferred.

  • Minimum 12 years of Human Resources experience with demonstrated expertise in the functional aspects of Human Resources operations including HRIS, HR Service Center, Compensation Benefits, and Payroll.

  • Minimum 7 years' experience supervising a staff.

  • Excellent presenter of ideas and new strategies. The ability to work through to a solution where there is not a clear path to success. Be open to divergent opinions.

  • Experience working and influencing senior managers to design programs that drive performance and attract and retain talent to the organization.

  • Knowledgeable about regulatory, financial, tax, and accounting issues, affecting compensation and benefits including statutes: ERISA, FLSA, Equal pay Act, ADA, Title VII, FMLA, SOX, FAS 123r.

  • Strategic thinker, planner, builder of positive relationships.

  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Detail oriented and highly accurate.

  • Superior analytical and problem solving abilities.

The Executive Director of Marketing for EndoTherapy maintains responsibility for managing Olympus Americas business in support of the products, procedures, and solutions for EndoTherapy. He / she for the business management addressing all aspects of commercializing these products and services in the Americas, including P&L responsibility, forecasting, product launch, sales support, training, promotion, customer engagement, and other areas. Prior to commercialization, the position maintain responsibility for driving a strong collaborative relationship with Olympus Japan (OMSC) and upstream technical marketing, to ensure that the optimal products are being developed in alignment with the needs of the targeted customers in the Americas. This position will set the long-term strategy for the EndoTherapy business, through the Corporate Strategic Planning process, and ensure alignment and execution through the annual business planning process. The Executive Director of EndoTherapy will be a core member of the Endoscopy Division Management team, while having full accountability for members of the EndoTherapy marketing teams. This person will be expected to work closely and productively with their counterparts and colleagues in Endoscopy Sales and Marketing, Service Marketing, Financial Services, Corporate Accounts, Surgical Sales and Marketing, Educational Services, Marketing Services, etc., as well as others, to maximize the realized opportunity for Olympus Endoscopy in the Americas. Job Duties: In a typical day, you will: * Development and management of marketing programs targeting national and local market segments. * Coordinating and integrating the activities of various support services, including the Corporate Accounts and financial services groups with marketing. * Responding to and resolving product quality and customer service issues. * Maintaining awareness of the competitive environment and reacting appropriately. * Field visits to understand markets and desires from customers and sales resources. * Directs product planning activity in conjunction with the R&D organization in Tokyo to develop successful new product launches. * Ensure that future products developed by Olympus accurately address the needs of OAI s market.
