This individual has responsibility for providing leadership for Clinical Development Programs and staff. This staff consists of, primarily, the clinical leads (directors, senior directors) for programs focused in Hepatology and Gastroenterology within the MNK portfolio.
Provides strong scientific and strategic leadership to assigned Clinical Programs and staff.
Models, teaches, and instills constructive leadership attributes, consistent with Mallinckrodt's values.
Provides Mallinckrodt process and organizational guidance to assigned staff, as necessary.
Performs HR responsibilities for assigned staff, consistent with MNK's policies and procedures.

Experience / Skills:
Approximately 10 years of relevant clinical research experience working for a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO company; late phase development experience in Hepatology, including proof of concept and P3/registration intent trials, is required.
Extensive experience personally designing and overseeing clinical trials, as well as analyzing and interpreting complex datasets.
Experience preparing for, and participating as the clinical lead in, key regulatory interactions/meetings (EoP2, pre-NDA, SPA meetings, etc.)
Experience in evaluating new business opportunities, as well as integrating such opportunities into a large portfolio.
Experience working in a complex, dynamic, matrix-based environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead people in a constructive manner.
Ability to think and plan strategically.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and diverse projects concurrently, while still meeting timeline and project goals.
Advanced competencies in clinical trial design and methodology, including application of innovative approaches to protocol and program design.
Excellent organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and a command of the English language.
Command of all Microsoft Office tools.
Occasional travel is required for this position.
This position will work with multiple functions outside of Clinical Development, particularly clinical operations, medical affairs, and commercial leadership.
