This involves marketing the competition, screening the films, creating the film program, and working with and bringing in the filmmakers. In addition, the Film Department helps organize and market year-round events including advance screenings and the annual Audience Award Series. Film Department interns will contribute to all aspects of the department&rsquo;s responsibilities, including marketing the film competition to increase entries, working with the Film Selection Committee to ensure films are being screened and evaluated properly, processing submissions and managing the submission database. These tasks will be coupled with a variety of different assignments including researching filmmakers, working and attending year-round events, helping with mail-outs, and watching films.
