What you'll be doing

The Executive Content Manager, Temporary, is responsible for creating and managing content across marketing channels for executive communications. This role will help Tableau leaders engage in an ongoing conversation with our employees, customers, and the BI and broader technology industry, finding ways to amplify our message and tell impactful stories around data. This role is responsible for developing and curating content that is both engaging and useful. The Executive Content Manager will support the Executive Content team to distill and present Tableau's point of view on what's brilliant and unmissable.

Some of the things you'll be doing include..

  • Create, produce, and publish executive content to support external and internal communication needs across the organization.

  • Manage and maintain repository of executive presentations, blogs, and bylines as part of a scalable executive communications program.

  • Support executive's individual communications plans, research new speech topics/angles, and discover new ways to support executive's specific points of view across diverse formats such as video, slideshares, blog posts, bylines, etc.

  • Partner across the organization on strategy for both internal and external comms goals.

  • Curate and adapt existing presentations for further use.

  • Write and edit blog posts and bylines on relevant, engaging topics.

  • Manage freelance assignments.

  • Safeguard and extend brand equity, for both Tableau's brand and our executive's personal brands.

Who you are

  • Technically savvy. Adept with technology, including Microsoft Office products, with an ability to master new software easily. Professional experience with social media, interest in emerging media.

  • Collaborative. Experience collaborating and producing content with executives and product experts.

  • Strong communication skills. Ability to write clearly and delightfully, including an ability to capture a human tone in writing, not that of a corporation. Ability to communicate big ideas to a wide-range of audiences. Strong presentation skills.

  • Analytical. Knowledge of Excel and ability understand why data is useful.

  • Go-Getter. Curious and thoughtful, strong ability to think through information to see the meaningful trends. Passion for understanding how technology has the potential to create change. Enthusiasm for a fast-growing, fast-changing environment.

  • A performer. Ability to manage multiple high-priority, high-visibility projects with multiple stakeholders. Ability to quickly turn around high-quality, meaningful copy.

  • Experienced. 5-7+ years' of experience in speech writing, copywriting, journalism, marketing, or a related field.

  • Educated. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

This is a 6 month temporary role, in office. We do provide medical benefits, 401k match and a commuter subsidy for temporary employees.
