"This position is currently located in the IP organization, assigned to the Sylvamo project, and will be transferred to the Sylvamo organization contingent upon the closing of the transaction estimated to occur 10/1/2021."

This position is responsible for and assists in the development, implementation (including participant communications), execution, and the day-to-day administration of compensation programs designed exclusively for Company executives and/or management-level employees, including but not limited to complex, global short-term and long-term incentive compensation programs and executive benefit and perquisite programs; partners with Manager of Executive Compensation in coordination and development of materials for the Board's Compensation Committee and provides consulting services to the business groups and HR with regard to these plans and programs. Key Accountabilities:

  • Supporting the executive compensation function in the day-to-day administration, communication, reporting and internal control compliance of the company's short- and/or long-term incentive compensation programs and executive benefit and perquisite programs (including but not limited to the Annual Incentive Plan, Long-term Incentive Plan, Office Stock Ownership, etc.) and initiatives that support the organization's strategic goals and competitive objectives;

  • Preparing materials for MDCC meetings and required disclosure documents, including but not limited to the Compensation Discussion & Analysis and related compensation tables for the annual Proxy Statement, 10-K and 8-K filings;

  • Preparing ad-hoc compensation analyses and reports as requested, including but not limited to the senior management pay study and Board of Directors' pay study;

  • Assisting in preparation of and manages submission(s) of executive-related salary surveys;

  • Assisting in the transition and administration of equity plans acquired by the company through mergers and acquisitions;

  • Developing communication and training materials using strong technical and written skills and

  • Understanding the company's business needs and HR strategy.

Knowledge and Experience:

The position requires the following:

  • College degree of four years or greater;

  • Accounting/Finance background is preferred; MBA and/or CPA or CCP certification is a plus and

  • Experience in equity compensation, deferred compensation and related financial, tax and legal requirements.

  • 3-5 years in either executive compensation/incentive plans or in accounting is strongly preferred.

The candidate must demonstrate strength in all of the following:

  • Analytical capabilities, including research and problem solving;

  • Computer and software usage; specifically, strong excel and PowerPoint skills;

  • Leadership and interpersonal skills, including presenting to groups and senior leaders and

  • Project management, time management and vendor management.
