Responsibilities

Position Summary

Serves as primary staff support to the Dignity Health Medical Foundation Board of Directors and Oversight Subcommittees. Facilitates and supports effective interplay between the senior leadership team and the various subcommittees. Partners with leaders to provide thoughtful, professional support to facilitate the organization's governance processes. Provides direction and supervision to project coordinators.

Responsibilities may include:- Oversees the Board process for Dignity Health Medical Foundation and other joint ventures. Facilitates the decision making activities of the Board, ensures processes are in place to support the Board structure and creates and follows up on action items.- Partners with Dignity Health Medical Foundation Board members and leadership staff on agenda development to align Board decision-making with strategic priorities.- Drafts and maintains agendas; prepares draft of minutes and tracks follow up items.- Responsible for preparation and quality of materials that are reviewed by the Board and subcommittees. Works with leadership to prepare relevant and accurate materials for Board review.- Promotes accountability in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of initiatives developed by the committees.- Completes special reports/projects, which may include data gathering and consolidation, through surveys, reports and other media as needed.- Reviews written correspondence and verbal communication and determines appropriate response, and notifies individual(s) of timing, type and extent of action needed. Accumulates and/or develops relevant materials needed for action on items, where appropriate.- Supports implementation, maintenance and communication of the organization's systems and process framework.- Tracks and reports out to leadership the status of project initiatives to help ensure successful implementation.- Responsible for the daily supervision of staff; provides timely support, coaching and feedback. Responsible for the hire and selection process of new staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of administrative and/or planning experience involving governance and meetings logistics

  • Experience developing and managing relationships with senior level executives

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Management or other related field or 5 years of related job or industry experience in lieu of degree

  • Ability to operate in a complex environment involving competing priorities and stakeholders with short timelines

  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality with proprietary information

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Results and action oriented; strong project management skills

  • Detail oriented, but able to think strategically

  • Strong technical skills to efficiently organize, manage and deliver materials to the Board and Subcommittees
