Demonstrates and fosters a customer service experience for all guests and team members while simultaneously embracing serving as the face of the operation to the community.
Develops, delivers and maintains menu and food quality standards for the bistro and catering operations. Oversees all phases of food prep, production and execution, including inventory, ordering, storage and rotation, food preparation, recipe adherence, presentation, service, merchandising and production time standards.
Ensures the cleanliness of the kitchen, bistro and catering by maintaining specified standards, passing Health Department audits with a 95% or better, and training staff on proper sanitation guidelines. Implements food safety expectations of team members.
Provides leadership and oversight of all activities for Goodwill Food Services to ensure that net performance provides satisfactory financial support for the organization and that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards are consistently met.
Develops and directs the execution of the Goodwill Food Services annual work plan in support of the Goodwills strategic plan.
Directs the alignment of Food Services with industry standards and best practices, and government regulations.
Helps plan and approve external and internal marketing and sales promotional activities for the Food & Beverage Department.
Maintains timely documentation of activities and services in accordance with requirements, and compiles and disseminates reports as requested.
Serves as a member of the Corporate Leadership Team and other Divisional teams, contributing to the performance of their duties as outlined in the Team Charters.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field and five to seven years experience in managing a food service related operation with direct or indirect management experience of a catering and event space operations; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
