The Executive Chef responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operations of the Culinary Department in accordance with property policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our property. They are also responsible to ensure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner in accordance with the companys mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the dining experience created for all residents, family members and visitors is of high quality including menu selection, meal preparation, meal presentation, food taste, and meal service.

  • Plan, prepare, present, and deliver all meals in the community, making sure they are of high quality, palatable, and appetizing.

  • Prepare and maintain the annual budget requests for supplies, equipment, and staffing requirement.

  • Recruit, develop, manage, and schedule department staff.

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.

  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • High school diploma or equivalent. College course or other education in food service and/or management preferred.

  • Prefer one (1) year experience working in a restaurant or similar environment as a lead/head cook.

  • Prefer one (1) year experience supervising and managing employees.

  • Flexibility in work schedule as evidenced by working holidays, evenings, weekends and additional shifts when necessary to ensure adequate coverage within the department.

  • Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint etc.)

  • Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test within 72 hours of start date.

Job Summary: Responsible for engaging, entertaining, interacting and providing a unique dining experience to guests. Primarily works in front of the restaurant while cooking and preparing hot meals on hibachi tables directly in front of guests. Ensures correct food portions are being cooked and maintain the kitchen areas and hibachi tables clean and sanitized. Prepares and sets up food for cooking and side orders. Qualifications: * Minimum of 1-year experience in cooking strongly required. * Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times. * Ability to entertain and perform in front of guests is strongly desired. * Must be able to work as part of a team and recognize the importance of each team member's role in the guest dining experience. * Ability to prepare food for consumption with background knowledge of proper techniques and equipment to be used. * Knowledge of industry standards on food storage and handling techniques is highly desirable. * Exercise sound judgment and possess good problem-solving skills. * Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry required. * Where applicable, holds a state and/or local food handlers card. * Must be 18 years of age or older or in accordance of state law. * High School diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered. * Must be eligible to work in the United States. * Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.
