Executive Chef - Charlotte, NC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures excellence in guest satisfaction through commitment to a "Do Whatever It Takes Attitude" and a hands-on, lead by example management style

  • Management of all back of house staff in a high volume kitchen, including ongoing training , development, and follow up

  • Achieve or exceed budgeted labor and other cost centers through proper planning and execution

  • Oversee weekly and monthly inventories, and ordering of food and supplies

  • Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all OSHA regulations.


  • At least 5 years of Culinary Management experience, with at least 2 years as an Executive Chef, in a full-service, structured dining establishment

  • Strong knowledge and attention to detail on back of the house operations including: staff supervision, inventory controls and food/labor cost, and product quality

  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills

  • Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic

VIEW JOBS 11/22/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-02-20T00:00 <p>We are hiring an Executive Chef for our new modern Asian Fusion Rooftop Restaurant located in the Charlotte, NC area, which will feature a sushi and an Oyster bar, A5 Miyazaki Wagyu, Hyper Fresh Seafood, and an extensive menu of Modern Asian Cuisine. The restaurant will have Spectrum Dining, a fully immersive 5D projection room, 3,000 square feet of outdoor dining and lounge, as well as extensive wine and Sake offerings with classic and featured craft cocktails.</p><p>Working hand-in-hand with the GM and other Hestia managers, the Executive Chef will develop and execute menus with traditional and modern Asian cuisine, while achieving operational and financial targets.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>Create and execute event menus from start to finish. Ensure proper controls and HACCP plans are in place and delivered.</p><p>Develop and monitor financial performance, ensuring that goals are met or exceeded. Look for continuous improvement opportunities financially and with existing processes, with a focus on top-line revenues.</p><p>Hire and manage team members, who will enhance the restaurant and kitchen culture. Train them so they have a sound understanding of day-to-day restaurant operations. <br><br> Provide inspirational leadership to the team, and growth and development opportunities to grow staff. Ensure proper staffing levels.</p><p>Create an atmosphere that attracts top talent and where team members are excited to come to work.</p><p>Oversee financial aspects of the kitchen, which includes purchasing, prevention &amp; loss, accounts payable and payroll.</p><p>Provide an excellent guest experience. Solicit input from guests, monitor feedback on food and beverage quality, service, and overall satisfaction.</p><p>Stay informed on market trends, introduce new products to drive guest engagement, increase revenue, ensuring a competitive position within the market.</p><p>Partner with internal and external PR to ensure the restaurant is correctly positioned and is known as a restaurant destination within the community.</p><br> Concord Hospitality Charlotte NC
