Redmond Regional Medical Center is looking for an Executive Chef (Full-Time).

General Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist. Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/ objectives established annually as listed on the Performance Management Plan.

  • Integrates ethics in all areas of practice. Adheres to confidentiality and patient's rights policies.

  • Supports the facilities' mission and values.

  • Responsible for the management of day-to-day culinary operations.

  • Utilizes, monitors, and drives systems to support compliance with food safety (HACCP).

  • Supports department sanitation, ensures patient safety, and complies with OSHA and HIPPA guidelines.

  • Assists in hiring process of potential employees, coaches and works with current employees.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High School Degree / Equivalent

  • 3-5 years food service healthcare experience preferred

  • Formal Culinary Training preferred

  • Knowledge of PATIENT SAFETY science principles, theory, methods, standards, and regulatory requirements and experience with patient safety analysis techniques, including root cause analysis, cause and effect analysis, and failure mode and effect analysis.

  • Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire.

The executive director is the leader of the United Way of Rome & Floyd County and through the efforts of a diverse team, volunteers, and staff alike implement the strategic goals and objectives of the organization. The executive director leverages the strength of relationships and networks, and works across private, public and corporate sectors to improve the lives of people in Floyd County, Georgia. The executive director possesses a high level of business and management skills and is effective at generating resources and financial support for the organization. The executive director is the steward of the United Way reputation and understands their role in growing and protecting it. They are responsible for building trust in the United Way and its relevance in the community. The executive director values the collaboration among the Georgia United Ways and the entire United Way network and strives to leverage the breadth of community presence, relationships, and strategy. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, be of high integrity and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The executive director will report directly to and provide advice and guidance to the Board of Directors. The position requires strong business acumen, strategic and innovative thinking, a compelling vision and the ability to grasp and communicate complex issues relevant to the nonprofit sector. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The major responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Community Impact: The executive director is responsible for the overall impact of United Way of Rome & Floyd County on the community, with emphasis on increasing its capacity to drive the impact agenda. The executive director works closely with the Board of Directors to craft and adapt the strategy to achieve this increased impact, including raising the funds to support it. S/he will establish and build relationships with top leaders in the community including those representing the highest levels in business, government and non-profit sectors. Resource Development: The executive director is charged to drive key results in fundraising; to identify, cultivate and solicit prospective donors and key leaders of prospective new corporate partners; to leverage personal and professional contacts and relationships into fundraising opportunities; and to promote a culture of fundraising in the organization, both at the staff and board level. Strategic Management: The executive director serves as the principal resource to the Board of Directors and its key committees and gives us strong direction in policy formulation and interpretation. S/he partners with the Board of Directors and the United Way of Rome & Floyd County senior leadership to craft organizational goals and develop strategies to ensure that they are achieved. S/he ensures coordination and alignment of all United Way activities to strategic direction in the areas of community impact, resource development and staff alignment. Organization Management: The executive director is accountable for building and leading a high-performing team, ensuring staff is aligned and collaborating to achieve organizational results. S/he maintains accountability for the operational and fiscal integrity of the organization within policies set by the Board of Directors. The executive director assesses organizational capacity to implement strategies and identify gaps in the systems and staffing; directly supervises leadership team and establishes individual goals; works with the Board of Directors to manage organizational spending, monitor budget compliance and mitigate financial risks; and ensures that United Way of Rome & Floyd County's goals of inclusiveness and diversity among staff and volunteers are met. EXPERIENCE/POSITION REQUIREMENTS * Substantial experience working in the nonprofit sector (United Way experience is desirable) and interacting with volunteers and diverse boards. Alternatively, extensive experience in the leadership and management of organizations of comparable size and mission. * Expertise on issues relevant to the organization. * Ability to command the confidence and respect of key stakeholders. * A demonstrated track record of promoting diversity and an ability to build collaborations with the community. * Experience in or across multiple sectors, including nonprofit, public and corporate environments. * Experience in developing partnerships, building teams and conflict management. * Experience in building revenue and increasing philanthropic support. * Must demonstrate a high level of intelligence and intellectual curiosity and desire to explore new ideas and innovative approaches to solving problems. * Exhibit unquestioned integrity; a long term prospective; strong sense of accountability; a practical ability to get things done; wisdom and good judgement; a fair and thoughtful approach to management, combined with the flexibility and courage to shift direction and experiment with new initiatives; excellent verbal and written communication skills; a high energy level and sense of humor.
