We are looking for an Executive Chef who can bring their passion for great food, teamwork and culinary experience while driving our innovative Signature Menu Dining Programs which include from scratch cooking and chef inspired culinary creations. We are looking for an exceptional leader with strong hospitality experience for our fine dining restaurant located at Cedar Crest Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Pompton Plains, NJ.

The Executive Chef Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
Supervise daily operation of all food preparation and production procedures.
Supervise, implement and maintain core menus and recipe management system and back of the house computer system.
Maintain proper procedures to maintain kitchen/equipment sanitation.
Comply with all federal and state regulations pertaining to food handling/production.
Assist with recipe development.
Maintain proper purchasing/receiving procedures.
Ensure optimum food quality/presentation.
Direct supervision of all food production staff and utility staff.
Education and Experience
Certification from a culinary institute or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef.
In lieu of certification/degree, a minimum of 15 years proven success as an Executive Chef.
Must have experience working in food service systems.
Hospitality and fine dining experience preferred.
Successful in leadership and staff development .
