Americana & Fine Dinning restaurant is seeking an experienced Executive Chef for our modern southern low country inspired by traditional French cuisine other southern cultural influences. The restaurant and bar harken a sense of Americana, speaking to nostalgia for idealized small town life and a simpler bygone time.

This cultural heritage is closely tied to the fare served, embracing a creative take on American cuisine and crafted cocktails that showcase the use of local and regional products, but also emphasize authenticity, transparency, and quality. These efforts echo the restaurants curious passion for nature and the bounty it has to offer.

Must have experience as a opening executive chef and a strong track record of stability with fine dinning. 5+ years minimum

  • Very nice upscale Restaurant immediately in the Atlanta Area
  • 150+Dining Seats, outside patio for Receptions and Events. Open 5 Days a week.
  • Sunday Brunch serves up to 300-400 Guests.
  • Prefer a Chef with strong Independent Restaurant Background
  • Currently open 5 days a week, Wednesday through Sunday
  • Located outside of ATL, Ga

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
  • Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
  • Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
  • Supervise kitchen staffs activities
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
  • Recruit and manage kitchen staff
  • Rectify arising problems or complaints
  • Give prepared plates the final touch
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Keep time and payroll records
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a Head Chef
  • Excellent record of kitchen management
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Capable of delegating multiple tasks
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)

The primary responsibilities of the CDC are to monitor the financial and service systems of the kitchen to ensure within hotel standards, develop with Executive Chefs/Owners seasonal menus, and ensure that restaurant remains appropriately staffed with well trained team members.
