Liberty University located in the beautiful background of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Lynchburg VA is seeking a talented experienced Catering Executive Chef 2.
The Executive Chef 2 will be the lead Culinarian for our growing Catering Department at the University. Candidate will assist the Catering Management team with building sales through quality and innovation along with a managed volume of $3 million dollars in revenue.
Candidate will report directly to the Campus/District Executive Chef 4, and will supervise an hourly culinary staff of 6 to 10 culinary staff employees.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Executive Chef/Chef Leadership experience working in a large college/university food service environment.
Experience managing catering culinary operations.
Experience with menu development, new market trends, innovation to create new ideas, setting the bench mark in their account.
Experience with food & labor management systems
A Strong attention to detail and high focus on food presentation/menu planning/systems/program implementation
Experience building, leading and training a dynamic and diverse culinary staff.
Financial management skills and acumen
Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle conflicting priorities
Great client relations and shows a desire to be invested in the surrounding community.
Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. Key Duties- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.

Basic Education Requirement
Associate's Degree Basic Management Experience
2 years Basic Functional Experience
