Sodexo is looking for an Executive Chef 2 to join our team at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma. What You'll Do

This Chef will be responsible for all culinary execution including recipe compliance, maintaining operating standards and expectations. As Executive Chef, you will oversee all culinary operations including the Magnolia Cafe, Magnolia Eatery and Catering. Responsibilities for this hands-on role will include menu planning, inventory/ordering, purchasing, food & labor costing, scheduling, training and safety/sanitation.

The successful candidate will:

• be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
• ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
• have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
• ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
• have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will have a passion for spending time with students and teaching culinary skills in the kitchen. Responsible for all food ordering, inventory, and scheduling of kitchen staff. Our chef will typically work a later shift, from 11am- 7pm.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience- 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience- 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
