Executive Branch Auditor 2

The Position

Executive Branch Auditors plan, organize and conduct comprehensive reviews of programs and activities of executive branch agencies in accordance with the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.

The Governor's Finance Office, Division of Internal Audits is recruiting for an Executive Branch Auditor 2 position, geographically located in Carson City. In accordance with the Standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors, incumbents plan, organize and conduct audits and reviews on internal controls, accounts, records, activities, and operations of State agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal rules, regulations, and legal requirements and proper safeguarding of agency funds.

This position reviews contracts and grants for compliance with state and federal guidelines; summarizes results in report format issued to agency management and the Director of the Governor's Finance Office; makes oral and written presentations to agency management discussing deficiencies and recommending corrective action; and may present final audit report findings to the Executive Branch Audit Committee.
