Position Specific Responsibilities
Wichita State University is currently seeking an Executive Assistant to the President to join our team. In this role, we are looking for someone who exudes professionalism and dedication. In this position, you will be responsible for taking on a variety of administrative duties ranging from scheduling and prepping for meetings, coordination of events, managing guest relations, travel scheduling, and much more. Summary of Responsibilities
Provides administrative professional support to executive staff which may include, but is not limited to, scheduling and appointments; coordination of meeting and events; travel arrangements; preparing and editing correspondence, presentations, and reports, and preparing expense reimbursements.
Essential Functions
Maintains executive's schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and making travel arrangements, preparing and editing correspondence, presentations and reports, and preparing expense reimbursements.
Coordinates meetings and events which may include, but is not limited to, catering, guest lists, entertainment, supplies, reservations, and set up. Manages guest relations for sporting events hosted by the President and Governmental Relations. Manages the President's skybox at Eck Stadium and assists with events at the President's residence.
Presides as the Assistant Secretary to the Board of Trustees with planning and coordination of meetings, transcribing of minutes, managing action items, maintaining records, communicating and corresponding with members of the BOT and President's Council.
Interacts with faculty, staff, alumni, government officials and high level University, business, city, county and state administrators.
Exercises discretion, confidentiality, and judgment when dealing with matters of a sensitive confidential or personal nature.

Requirements
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in business or related field by hire date
Preferred Education Minimum Experience
Four (4) years of experience working for a high level executive, executive office setting or related field
Preferred Experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Exercises discretion, confidentiality, and judgment when dealing with matters of a sensitive, confidential or personal nature
Ability to successfully multitask, support multiple executives, and handle difficult situations
Organizes, coordinates, and assists with meetings and events
Preparing and proofing of various documents and correspondence, forms reports, and presentation materials
Experience with accounts payable
Proficient in general office skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe, Teams, Zoom)
