Duties: The Executive Assistant provides executive support to the Chief of Staff by providing support to health care management officials by supervising, analyzing, evaluating, advising, and coordinating various administrative activities and ancillary services at the Medical Center. The position renders advice on operational policies and assures these policies are coordinated with and in support of field operations. It is the role of the incumbent to ensure assigned services and programs are consistent with the Medical Center's mission to provide cost-effective, high quality timely care and services. The incumbent provides direct level supervision for 5 FTE including: Chief of Education, Facility Telehealth Coordinator, Group Practice Manager, Health System Specialist & Program Support Assistant. The incumbent provides direct second level supervision to approximately 28 FTE by overseeing the medical center's Education, Telehealth & Group Practice Management Programs.
Work Schedule: Tour of duty is varying daylight hours, Monday through Friday; however, weekend and evening hours may occur when Veteran needs arise. Travel to Altoona VAMC and other CBOCs as needed if staffing needs arise but at the time of travel the individual will be reimbursed according to local guidelines.

While the position does not have any physical demands, the incumbent will be required to travel throughout the Medical Center and the Community Based Outpatient Clinics. Most work will take place in an office setting. There is travel involved when going to the Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
