Job Title: Sr. Executive Assistant
Location:
Deerfield, IL 60015
Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Position Summary
Provides administrative support to a director, to managers, the entire functional department and supporting VP level or above.
Duties include: General Office duties include mail distribution, faxing and filing, photocopying and ordering supplies.
Create/prepare correspondence and presentations.
Conduct internet research and some web site management.
Coordinate travel arrangements.
Track monthly department budget.
Prepare expense reports and maintain dept.
Credit line for purchases.
Ability to interpret internal policies.
Maintain calendars and schedule meetings.
Provide departmental support and dedicated support for one or more professionals.
Global interaction and exposure to senior levels of organization.
Exposure to confidential and sensitive information.
May be involved with project management/event coordination
May have timekeeping coordination/input May coordinate staffing activities to include interviewing, onboarding and transfers.
Internet/intranet skills and strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access and Lotus Notes.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow with minimal supervision.
Detail oriented.
Must have good organization and follow up skills.
Must have excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively with all levels of professionals, both internal and external. High school diploma or equivalent.
Some college preferred. Min. 5 yrs. or more of experience.

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 JOB SUMMARY: This position assists certified staff with direct instructional support and the general supervision and management of students utilizing the principles and practices associated with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) program. Guidelines for Usage Response to intervention integrates assessment and intervention within a multi-level prevention system to maximize student achievement and reduce behavior problems. With RTI, schools identify students at risk for poor learning outcomes, monitor student progress, provide evidence-based interventions and adjust the intensity and nature of those interventions depending on a student's responsiveness, and identify students with learning disabilities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Valid Illinois Paraprofessional Educator License registered in Lake County. RATE OF PAY: Starting at $19.56/hour, 10-month position KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Response to Intervention (RTI); * Knowledge of and respect for the diverse backgrounds (cultural, linguistic, environmental) of students and how these characteristics affect the student's life and learning; * Knowledge of relevant laws, rules, regulations, and Board policies and District procedures; * Knowledge of the similarities and differences between cognitive, communicative, physical, social, and emotional needs of students and the factors that influence these different needs; * Interpersonal and social skills; * Oral and written communication skills; * Ability to apply the principles of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Response to Intervention (RTI); * Ability to assist and reinforce elements that support a safe, healthy, and effective teaching and learning environment; * Ability to assist in adapting instructional strategies and materials according to the needs of the student, under the direction of a teacher; * Ability to be sensitive and respectful in communications regarding all children and families, regardless of differences in cultural heritage, lifestyle, values, and home environment; * Ability to collect and record performance data on students under the direction of a licensed teacher, while respecting student confidentiality and the laws regarding ethical practices of assessment; * Ability to collect objective and accurate information on student behavior to be provided to licensed professionals, as appropriate and directed by a licensed teacher; * Ability to draw on knowledge and resources regarding a variety of developmental and age-appropriate instructional methods, techniques, and materials when supporting the instruction of the licensed teacher; * Ability to effectively employ a variety of strategies that reinforce positive behavior; * Ability to establish and maintain rapport with students; * Ability to follow oral and written direction of licensed teachers, seeking clarification as needed; * Ability to participate as a member of the educational team when requested to attend conferences with families or primary caregivers, with an understanding of some of the concerns of parents; * Ability to prepare and organize materials to support teaching and learning, as directed by a licensed teacher; * Ability to reinforce the development of student social skills by using appropriate strategies to modify the environment; * Ability to use ethical practices for confidential communication about students; * Ability to use strategies that promote the student's independence; * Ability to utilize learning styles theory in supporting instructional practices; * Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following identifies the primary and essential functions of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of all duties. 1. Assists in Response To Intervention (RTI) data collection; 2. Assists students with physical needs (toileting, eating, dressing); 3. Assists the teacher in observing, recording, and charting behavior; 4. Assists the teacher with crisis problems and behavior management; 5. Assists under direction of the teacher with planning and organizing instructional duties and activities; 6. Assists with group educational activities that include students on Individualized Education Plan (IEP); 7. Attends and contributes to regularly scheduled professional development meetings to share and discuss ideas, strategies, and materials related to RTI; 8. Attends and contributes to training provided by the District and by the school to master specific skills needed for program success; 9. Carries out supervision/monitoring of students in a prompt and responsible manner to ensure a safe, nurturing, and healthful environment; 10. Carries out tutoring activities designed by the teacher that include students on IEPs; 11. Communicates student progress and provides information for program evaluation; 12. Confers and plans with teachers related to classroom and/or IEP objectives and/or modifications, and provides documentation; 13. Confers with student's classroom teachers in a collaborative model; 14. Consistently follows and implements weekly lesson plans based on best-practice intervention strategies for struggling learners; 15. Implements and maintains accurate interventional strategies record keeping forms; 16. Implements student tutoring component of academic program through one-to-one and/or small group tutoring, or other approaches as directed; 17. Improves student academic achievement to the level they meet state graduation requirements or grade level standards; 18. Maintains accurate student RTI records for program and compliance audits, compiles reports and oversees progress monitoring and universal screening; 19. Maintains awareness of goals and objectives for students; 20. Maintains classroom (whiteboards, etc.); 21. Maintains, submits, and meets deadlines of required paperwork, including data entry; 22. Manages students (including those on IEPs); 23. Monitors classrooms during team collaboration of staff; 24. Monitors supplementary work and independent study that include students on IEPs; 25. Participates in professional activities and meetings; 26. Prepares classroom materials including those related to IEPs or modifications/accommodations; 27. Prepares the classroom environment for learning activities; 28. Provides assistance with individualized programmed materials; 29. Provides direct support to the students, staff and to increase and facilitate the effectiveness serving District students; 30. Provides individual tutoring and small group instruction of students utilizing prescribed techniques; 31. Provides supplemental assistance to students performing below grade level, as directed; 32. Supervises children in the hallway, lunchroom, playground, and on field trips; 33. Supports all program components necessary for differentiation of student needs; 34. Supports instruction for individual students (one-on-one or small group), including those on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) under the direction of the supervising teacher; 35. Works to facilitate accomplishment of the success of the total school Response To Intervention (RTI) program; 36. Works with audio-visual equipment, computers and/or assistive technology as related to IEP accommodations and modifications; 37. Works with classroom teachers and other support staff for proper placement instruction, (within a three-tiered intervention model.) 38. Works with small groups of students in small group instructional settings; 39. Works with teachers to develop classroom schedule; 40. May transport students in District vehicles, when requested; 41.
