Coordinates activities of legal department and communications between the Company and the Board of
Directors. Assists in responding to internal and external inquiries that may implicate the legal interests of the Company. Assists in maintaining the corporate records and corporate governance documents of the Company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Organizes, drafts and maintains legal documents and electronic files.
Accurately accounts for legal fees and reviews invoices for over charges review budget to reduce costs.
Investigates, reviews and drafts responses to internal and external inquiries under direction of in-house counsel.
Maintains corporate records including updating corporate books and Secretary of State filings for WNC and all its entities.
Requests and updates Corporate Finance on Legal Accruals
Maintains and organizes schedules, travel arrangements and general administrative matters for members of the legal department.
Assists in maintaining active and historical records relating to the Company's intellectual property portfolio, contracts, filings and other legal records of the Company.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
College Degree Major Desired: Associate's degree in Paralegal or related area
Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience:
Paralegal training, degree or certificate.
Must possess sound judgment, excellent communication skills and the ability to handle matters discretely and in confidence.
Must work well in a team setting and be comfortable handling matters independently.
Must be comfortable speaking with third parties about matters concerning the Company.
Paralegal certificate or degree, at a minimum. Bachelor's degree in other fields, with prior training as a paralegal is also acceptable.
Ability to handle matters discretely and in confidence.
Attention to detail and willingness to work independently, without significant oversight.
