The Challenge and The Opportunity
Local Crafts is a growing and dynamic company in the crafting industry, and we are seeking a highly organized and methodical Executive Assistant to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support to our CEO in managing daily activities. Primary responsibilities include:
Communication Liaison:
- Act as a bridge between the CEO, Board of Directors, other executives, and external stakeholders.
- Prioritize incoming communications, including emails and phone calls, and draft thoughtful responses.
- Support the CEO in developing company messaging and supporting in culture
Calendar Management:
- Identify which meeting requests need to take precedence.
- Efficiently schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments.
- Proactively address any scheduling conflicts that arise.
Meeting Coordination:
- Arrange both internal and external meetings.
- Prepare relevant meeting materials and agendas.
Travel Planning:
- Organize travel plans for domestic and international trips, including flights, accommodations, and transportation.
- Ensure that travel itineraries resonate with executives' business goals and preferences.
- Build and maintain relationships with preferred vendors.
Document Editing:
- Review and edit presentations, reports, and other documents to guarantee accuracy and professionalism.
- Collaborate with team members to gather the necessary information for document preparation.
Expense Management:
- Keep track of and manage executives' expenses.
- Prepare expense reports and ensure adherence to company policies.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft emails and support various communications.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
- A high degree of professionalism and discretion.
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks and juggling multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment, with a strong vision to aid in culture shifts, plan effective meetings, and facilitate company strategy.
- A strong business sense and an ability to recognize where time should be spent and adds value.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy (for instance: handling receipts, being thoughtful in meetings, and optimizing travel arrangements).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Capable of maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information with care.
- An upbeat and proactive attitude coupled with a strong work ethic.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Education and Experience:
- A degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience as an executive assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.

The starting pay range for this position is:
$25.50 - $32.00 per hour.
Candidates from different locations within the United States may receive varying salary offers.
