The Executive Assistant to K12's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other C-Level Executives, is a key partner to the leadership team responsible for performing/overseeing administrative matters as they broadly relate to communications, event and meeting planning, scheduling, travel, expense management, Board material preparation and other projects that may be assigned. The person in this position has direct interface with senior level leaders and K12's Board and conducts his/herself in a highly professional manner at all times and focuses on activities that optimize the CEO's time, which may therefore include functioning as a personal assistant and working outside of standard business hours.
AS an Executive Assistant, YOU WILL..
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. Keeps the CEO and other C-Level Executives supported on schedule; Oversees all scheduling requests and maintains executive calendars;
Acts as "gatekeeper" between the CEO and most of the company as well as outside requests;
Manages approval process for all items requiring CEO authorization;
Works with Public Affairs to manage media requests and press inquiries;
Works with Finance to plan and register for investor conferences;
Assists the CEO in assembling presentations for internal and external meetings and conferences;
Manages efforts to prepare and brief the CEO for all meetings and events;
Collaborates with other departments and staff members to complete projects and initiatives of the CEO;
Leads planning for high profile events:
Corporate Board meetings including overseeing assembly and distribution of materials, assisting Board members with travel arrangements, coordinating meeting space, catering and other logistics, and generally anticipating and providing any other support needed to ensure the smooth and successful operation of the event;
Executive Management Group offsite meetings;
Serves on larger team to plan and execute various company-wide events (All Hands Meeting, Analyst Day, Bring Your Child to Work Day, Golf Tournament, etc.)
Plans and makes arrangements for all domestic and international travel;
Completes and submits CEO expense reports;
Responds to a wide variety of unpredictable requests.

Requirements Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree AND
Five (5) years experience supporting C-level executives OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Self-directed, able to work effectively with very limited supervision
Ability to work with a variety of people
Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours
Ability to pass required background check
