The Executive Assistant III provides high-level support in the areas of scheduling, event planning, travel management, and other related administrative tasks.

Salary offered commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the central liaison and initial point of contact for Vice Chancellor (VC)

  • Manages executive meetings with internal and/or external stakeholders

  • Prepares itineraries for executive staff and guests

  • Maintains VC calendar and assists with creating agenda for executive meetings

  • Manages travel accommodations for VC and executive leadership

  • Processes travel reimbursements by ensuring proper documentation and adhering to UAMS guidelines

  • Manages a variety of projects including the annual staff retreat, quarterly Regional Team meetings, bi-annual regional faculty meetings, quarterly Advisory Board meetings and some dinners and special events

  • Serves on the Employee Engagement Committee

  • Supports and serves as back-up to the Human Resources Manager

  • Ensures proper documentation is obtained and completed for new hires and assist with orientation

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree PLUS four (4) years of administrative or related experience

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED Plus eight (8) years of administrative or related experience

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to supervise a small staff of clerical employees, compile information into report form, make recommendations on administrative office needs and operate office equipment.

  • Must possess excellent organization and problem solving skills and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
