Executive Assistant II coordinates projects; facilitates the research, collection, analysis and reporting of data. Responsible for efficiently and effectively performing all assigned administrative, clerical, staff support and general office duties including handling directly or referring customer complaints, while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive materials. This position also provides administrative support of organization Executives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares correspondence, memorandums, and reports for executive officer(s).

  • Interfaces with associates and executives throughout the department to research and collect quantitative and qualitative data, including searching the Internet, industry publications and other external sources.

  • Examines and analyzes collected data to clarify current conditions; perform follow up research as needed to clarify results and acquire missing and/or additional information, while considering correlated, casual, and relational data; communicate results and recommendations to Executives.

  • Creates forms, processes and/or procedures, reports and presentations; assists the responsible executive with implementation, communication, maintaining, tracking and evaluation of these methods to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, adherence and compliance.

  • Responds to customer inquiries/complaints directed to executive officer(s) as knowledge permits.

  • Prepares and distributes all goal and budget reports, weekly/monthly committee reports, etc.

  • Provides support of information to all associates in the applicable department.

  • Ensures all appropriate documentation for applicable department is processed accurately and completed in a timely manner.

  • Assists with all internal and external examination requests.

  • Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations

  • Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence

  • Ability to respond in writing to customer complaints, regulatory agencies or members of the business community

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients and other employees in the organization

Education and/or Experience

  • HS Diploma/GED or

  • AS/AA Degree or specialized training preferred

  • Minimum 4 years work experience in applicable department or as Executive Assistant

Computer Skills

  • MS Office programs

Job Summary/ Purpose: * This role is within the Enterprise Planning - Advanced Network Planning team with a focus on the distribution power system modeling tools, systems, and processes needed to keep Distribution System Planning functional, improving, and changing with the ongoing grid modernization efforts at Entergy. * The candidate will serve as the first level resource for developing expert capabilities in the distribution power system modeling tools and then propagate the skills out across the organization in an organized and efficient method. * The ideal candidate will have experience in power system modeling and analysis, as well as knowledge of various computer programming and scripting languages. Job Duties/ Responsibilities: * Monitor and maintain Synergi power flow models to support Enterprise Planning, Distribution Planning, and Field Engineer use for various planning and grid studies. * Support / Train Synergi users in various Synergi modeling applications (e.g. load flows, coordination, device placement, reliability, DER evaluations, etc…) * Support the development of new load and DER forecasting capabilities, including the integration of load and DER data with Entergy's modeling and data management systems. * Monitor and maintain programs, systems, and processes for accurate/ efficient data extracts for modeling purposes. * Coordinate data transfers and distribution planning software tool enhancements with internal and external IT support groups. * Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and monitor technology developments in the area of power system modeling, simulation, and analytics. * Assist with storm restoration efforts in a local, state, or system capacity. Minimum Requirements: Minimum education required for the position Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (typically Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Chemical, Industrial) from four year accredited institution OR in lieu of degree minimum 6+ years of experience in Engineering Discipline (typically Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Chemical, Industrial) Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Master's/PHD in Electrical Engineering. Minimum experience required for the position* Engineer II: 2+ years experience in an engineering discipline Engineer III: 4+ years experience in an engineering discipline Engineer Sr.: 6+ years experience in an engineering discipline * Advanced degrees with relevant research experience may be considered towards years of experience requirement. Preferred Experience: * Experience performing engineering analyses and power flow modeling for a utility or similar organization. * Experience using programming and/or scripting languages. * Experience with data analytics. * Experience modeling or analyzing Distributed Energy Resources. * Strong engineering analysis and problem solving skills. * Thorough understanding of procedures, programs, and standards.
