What You Will be Doing:

This position will provide professional, high-quality, efficient, calm, and confidential administrative support to the Paid Leave Oregon Director and Deputy Director as requested. The position provides: confidential support to the Director and other managers; coordinates communications internally and externally; establishes and maintains documentation for processes and other controls necessary to support the Director and Deputy; performs a significant amount of detailed administrative work including correspondence, spreadsheets, presentations, and scheduling.

What We Are Looking For (Desired Attributes):

  • Ability to independently problem solve and manage multiple competing priorities or projects

  • Experience providing excellent customer care and communicating effectively with internal and external customers in person, by email and/or phone.

  • Experience managing calendars, appointments, scheduling appointments, facilitating and taking notes in meetings

  • Intermediate experience using computer systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Experience providing clerical and administrative support for management and executives in an office and professional environment.

  • Experience writing, editing and proofreading, including memos and executive summaries

Required Minimum Qualifications:

One year of experience performing administrative duties in support of agency projects or programs. Qualifying experience would involve data collection and analysis; project evaluation and/or analysis; interpretation and application of laws, rules, and regulations; or similar experience.

  • This is a limited duration assignment currently funded through 03/31/2025. Limited duration appointments are regular status and benefits eligible. This position may be extended beyond this date and/or have continued funding approved in the future with the potential to become permanent.

Hybrid Remote Work Information:

This position will report to the Salem Central Office at least two times a week. Candidates may be approved for hybrid remote work. Hybrid remote work suitability is evaluated based upon business needs at the time of hire. Hybrid remote work approval can be revoked at any time. Candidates are expected to:

  • Reside within (or be willing to relocate to) Oregon, or one of its bordering states within a reasonable commuting distance (e.g. Vancouver, Washington).
