Serves as Executive Assistant and advisor to the Executive Director/Executive Deputy Director, at the Directorate level.

The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12/13.

Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides executive advisory service to the Director/Executive Deputy Director, on management, administrative, and programmatic matters which support accomplishment of the DCMA mission.

  • Researches policy, regulations, and procedures to determine appropriate action.

  • Analyzes information and data and assesses progress of programs, projects, and processes.

  • Organizes, manages, and presents information to the Director/Executive Deputy Director, to include recommendations on appropriate action.

  • Develops plans and objectives for assigned projects. Initiates and conducts studies and analyses on projects, issues, and problem cases.

  • Attends meetings, briefings, and conferences as appropriate, on matters relating to the Director/Executive Deputy Director activities, actions, and programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower band/level NH-02. Specialized experience is defined as: experience applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to assess the progress of programs, projects or processes; experience planning and conducting a variety of comprehensive studies and reports; and experience assessing, coordinating, evaluating, and integrating the work of others into products that effectively reflect management's position on a wide variety of management and mission-related issues.

Education cannot be substituted for experience.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
