Executive Assistant - supporting former Ambassador with prominent law firm in Washington, DC. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining official schedules, executing travel plans, preparing travel visas, coordinating, planning and managing protocol aspects of official events hosted by the Ambassador(s). Duties for this position include: preparing daily schedules; conduct analysis and research; prepare/manage detailed itineraries; maintain important numbers, locations and contact names; prepare monthly projected schedule; make reservations for air travel, ground transportation, and lodging; submit vouchers for travel and expense reimbursement via Chrome River; maintain contact database; review mail and invitations; responds to all invitations, either by written correspondence or by personal telephone call; places outgoing calls for the Ambassador and maintain records of calls; prepare guest lists and invitations for events, ensure that they are properly delivered, verify acceptances/regrets; participate in meetings, conferences and social functions to aid on matters of protocol; assist with special projects.
Bachelors degree ideal, 2 year degree or equivalent experience considered, prior successful experience providing scheduling and protocol support to an Ambassador or Congress/Senate member, proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to act with tact, diplomacy, discretion and respect for confidentiality and cultural diversity, strong interpersonal and written communication skills, experience making visa and travel arrangements, Typing a minimum of 60 wpm required. Salary is commensurate with experience.
