DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking an exceptionally bright, multitasking and self-motivated individual to support three Directors within AWS Hardware Engineering Services. The Executive Assistant will act as an extension of the leaders, and will work closely with other Executive Assistants throughout the AWS Infrastructure Services team and across the rest of the company.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

This exciting role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple critical requests. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is important.

The candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture. The individual in this role will need to understand business priorities, demonstrate the ability to proactively anticipate needs, and drive improvements to build capacity for their leaders, and their team.

This candidate will provide site support for our Cupertino office and team (~200 employees). This includes space management (includes hardware labs), employee engagement and being the overall go-to for the team. We have a passion for building community and culture and need someone to help us drive that!

Key job responsibilities

Includes (but is not limited to):

  • Site support for our Cupertino office (space management, employee engagement, event planning, etc.)

  • Exceptional management of multiple, high paced, complex calendars and scheduling requirements

  • Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on outstanding items

  • Partnering with leaders to understand their priorities and build processes to make their organizations happier and more effective

  • Manage group logistics and team space (including moves and reconfigurations)

  • Manage domestic and international travel

  • Complete and file expense reports

  • Assist with organizing and executing team activities

  • Having fun at work and helping others do the same!
