Position Information

Job Title Executive Aide Department Psychology - 21700 Pay Grade 6 Job Category Support Staff Job Summary

The Department of Psychology is accepting applications for an Executive Aide. This position will support the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. concentration as we maintain APA accreditation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Co-Directors of Clinical Training (DCT) but also must be able to assist other faculty and graduate students and function independently using appropriate judgment, decision-making, and discretion. The Executive Aide will be responsible for interacting with a variety of internal and external constituents as directed by the DCTs and be able to draft non-routine correspondence and memos, create and track graduate student contracts, monitor graduate student assistantship stipends, coordinate events, coordinate travel, research relevant program policy and procedural guidelines, assist in preparing comprehensive reports, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal communication

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years of clerical office experience,

or

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent computer skills (e.g., typing and familiarity with Microsoft Office software)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of administrative practices and principles,
  • Experience working with accreditation bodies, and organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks required for own work and the work of others.
