Summary:

Routinely leads and manages teams and/or projects/programs for executives. Designs, develops, and/or implements innovative, complex solutions, methodologies, modeling techniques, database tools, products/materials, and/or programs. Effectively interacts with executives on a routine basis, and/or is assigned as an informal leader, coach or mentor to less senior staff. May represent executive management at meetings or functions. May provide presentations or act on behalf of executive management. Exhibits executive level business etiquette and knowledge. Acts independently on behalf of department or division.

As part of Dataworks, a new organization established at FedEx, you will be supporting work that transforms how FedEx leverages its extensive data as an asset to extract insights and drive value. Specifically, you will provide direction, project leadership, and coordination of effort among organization work groups for analysis of diverse business proposals abd development of business plan/strategic plan, as well as on-going financial advice to senior leadership.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:

  • Data driven analytics for enterprise project analysis - uses financial and operating data to measure, analyze, and project profit and loss, cash flow, risks, and benefits

  • Analyzes historical trends, draws conclusions independently, and recommends potential courses of action based on discovery

  • Expert in FedEx financial processes including Guess, monthly close, reporting and annual business planning

  • Experience in technology development financial modeling and analysis (OpCo specific experience considered a plus)

  • SAFe Agile framework knowledge and application within FedEx technology development including application to Finance processes and procedures

  • Leverages data repositories using various tools to translate data into actionable information

  • Leads others through project/analysis by setting and coordinating analytical priorities, developing timelines, monitoring deliverables, and coaching and guiding as needed

  • Applies extensive knowledge of various aspects of development projects in order to provide a comprehensive view of programs

  • Able to demonstrate creativity and initiative in analyzing business issues and proposing solutions

  • Able to consistently meet deadlines and self-manage through shifting priorities and demands

  • Strong written and verbal communication including the ability to clearly articulate recommendations and adapt messaging to audience. Includes the ability to effectively develop a presentation based on an abstract idea with limited management input

  • Ability to define a complex abstract problem, identify a solution including alternatives, and successfully influence stakeholders

  • Successfully leads and influences direction of management, including senior officers (within and outside of Finance)

  • Successfully navigates corporate politics

  • Anticipates business issues that may arise and addresses them

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in business, finance or related discipline. Six (6) years directly related experience in financial analysis, financial planning, business consulting, project management, accounting, audit, tax or operational analysis. Advanced analytical, human relations, and communication skills. Has successful experience in making exec level recommendations regarding complex business solutions. Has advanced skill with business software, and/or web development. May use advanced financial modeling techniques, database tools and approaches. Ability to plan and work on multiple major corporate assignments concurrently. Demonstrated ability to lead people and/or executive level projects/programs. Has proven ability to design, develop, and implement materials, projects, and programs from a minimal concept. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to provide effective presentations to executive management.

Domicile / Relocation Information:

  • This position will be domiciled in the Memphis area.

  • The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

  • Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.
