Systems Engineer - Exchange
CSC is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure Services organization supporting our Exchange/Office 365 hybrid environment over a multi-site/datacenter infrastructure.
This position is on our Enterprise Engineering team which is part of the larger CSC Infrastructure Services department. The Enterprise Engineering team is responsible for supporting out Tier 0 applications such as Email (Exchange), Citrix, and Skype.
Some of the things you will be doing:
Plan, design, implement, and configure Microsoft Exchange 2016 and Exchange online environments
Perform in-depth technical research and analyze results to recommend various technical approaches for solving complex and challenging technical and integration problems
Follow policies and procedures for change, problem, and incident management
Lead global Windows and Virtualization Engineers and interact with project managers
Proactively participate in P1 problem escalations and resolve desktop, server, and virtualization support issues
Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation and planned maintenance activities after hours and on weekends when needed
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
3+ years experience of relevant industry experience supporting a mid to large Exchange/Office 365 hybrid environment (3000+ users)
Understanding of DAGs, Public Folder management, archiving, disaster recovery and Unified Messaging
Understanding of Active Directory Group Policies, DNS, SMTP, Microsoft PowerShell, Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, and 2016, Office 365 and cloud computing, Symantec Netbackup
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, redirected folders, Roaming Profiles, DHCP, DNS, and general Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 Infrastructure
Hypervisor experience with VMware vSphere ESX and Nutanix AHV
Experience assisting or leading troubleshooting level 2/3 escalated problems related to messaging Infrastructure platforms
Experience performing technical writing of policies, procedures, and configuration of systems by authoring, updating, and maintaining all related documentation
Basic knowledge of scripting/automation in Powershell for commonly used Exchange and Active Directory functions
