SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a junior electronic warfare (EW) engineer in Dayton, Ohio. The selected candidate will be conducting applied research and development, and performing rapid prototype development of EW modeling and simulation software technology.


  • Product conceptualization and problem solving

  • Product engineering activities such as customer requirements analysis, functional design, and product design synthesis

  • Develop high-level and detailed engineering design artifacts

  • Perform applied research and development of advanced signal processing algorithms for analyzing large EW data sets

Job Duties: Engineer II – EW Systems and Subsystem Engineer 666509 What You'll Do: The successful candidate: * Support AFRL Integrated Demonstrations and Applications Laboratory (IDAL) rapid technology insertion collaborative research initiative/partnerships/demonstrations. * Lead/Manage IDAL collaborative research software and subsystem design through the government/contractor Integrated Product Team concept. Develop/coordinate software and subsystem design methodologies, models, plans, assessments and analysis efforts. * Also responsible for leading, managing and holding accountable a multi-disciplinary contractor team of engineers, technicians and managers. The team will be responsible for the successful definition, development and test/demo of complex avionics subsystems to measure/determine maturity level and operational readiness. * Major responsibilities include: * Provide software and subsystem design management support to government customer * Work closely with other related organizations to ensure cost effective execution * Attend program meetings to ensure program actions are conducted in an orderly basis * Prepare briefings, studies and "what ifs" as the software Subject Matter Expert (SME) * Track performance of tasks by related organizations * Perform technical evaluations of proposals and plans for merit and realism * Track contractor's performance, witness software tests and report results to PMO * Perform threat systems analysis and upkeep of system of systems data bases. * Translate threat analysis into system mission data files and be able to test with applicable test plans, test results analysis, and provide the government with the end item test report. * Conduct test in the government laboratories, test ranges, and at contractor facilities for the system of systems. * Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. * Establish maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, the Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. What You'll Need: * Successful applicant must have a Current Top-Secret Clearance, SCI Eligibility desired. * 12 years or more experience Leading highly skilled technical teams utilizing software tools to collect, analyze and report on findings to support the EW mission data optimization, development, verification and validation in a laboratory and flight test environment. * Direct experience with project planning, Integrated Master Schedules and defining technical risks to the program management team. * Experience in avionics-related languages, software architectures, Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) and Survivability modeling and simulation. * BS degree or higher in electronic engineering/engineering technologies or a related technical field is required plus 5 or more years related experience as an electronic warfare systems technical lead. * In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered. Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. * Very good to have: * Basic knowledge of RF * Experience in a Mission Planning environment.
