Vanguard Resources, Inc. is actively recruiting for FULL TIME Housekeepers/ EVS Specialists, to work in a hospital setting, in the Denton, Texas area.

Housekeepers needed to work our Daytime First shift: 7 am - 3:30 pm; scheduled days of week may vary.

ONLY LOCAL candidates will be considered, as no relocation assistance is budgeted for this position.

The starting rate for our EVS Techs is $11.00 per hour.

Selected candidate MUST be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

We will train you if you have no previous Housekeeping or EVS experience!

General Job Summary:

The Housekeeper cleans assigned areas of the hospital to maintain an aseptic environment and to prevent healthcare-associated infection, using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals through the daily cleaning of assigned patient/non-patient areas and equipment according to policy & procedure. All employees must demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 6 months experience preferred.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

  • Must successfully pass criminal background check.

  • Must complete and/or take all required health screenings and vaccines.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Must be aware of and use universal precautions.

  • Requires physical and mental stamina: prolong walking, standing, bending, squatting, twisting and lifting.

Compensation is based on previous, relevant experience & skills. Job Summary: Directs day to day operations of shift as directed by Vanguard Resources Leadership. Supervises Housekeeping/EVS staff. Maintains inventory of supplies. Conducts in-services on safety, policies, procedures, and daily operations. Maintains good working relationships with other departments in the facility. Oversees bed control program. Performs QI Inspections and completes all required paperwork daily. Training daily duties as well as equipment operation and equipment maintenance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include but not limited to: * Assists in development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures and standards of work. Provides leadership and guidance to departmental staff as directed by Leadership * Maintains a current inventory of supplies and equipment at all times. Ensures all equipment is tested regularly * Maintains proficiency in all techniques and equipment used by the Environmental Services Department. * Ensures that quality standards are met, by inspecting completed work. * Makes recommendations to the Environmental Services Manager/Director for changes in supplies, equipment or procedures to improve safety and patient care or to reduce costs. * Monitors linen usage and reviews statistics with the Environmental Services Manager/Director. * Schedules staff for proper coverage of the facility. * Conducts orientation and ongoing training for departmental staff and maintains all documentation. * Provides regularly scheduled in-services to departmental staff. * Assists the Environmental Services Manager/Director in meeting compliance with federal, state, local regulations and accrediting organization standards * All other projects and duties as assigned by Leadership.
